When the name of time was still new, the Mythica travelled across the realms and shared story-songs. At some point, the tribe helped the City of Temples transport itself from realm to realm through an ancient blessing and many of their Spirit Dragons swore their servitude to the city.[61] One of the stories they told was of Wojira to the residents of the Never-Realm.
Eventually, the remaining members of the tribe were hunted to extinction by the Oni, who wished to silence their stories.

The Oni warlords were the original leaders of the Oni during their war with the dragons. When the First Spinjitzu Master escaped from the Realm of Oni and Dragons to create Ninjago, the warlords pursued him. In doing so, they crafted three Oni Masks, each symbolizing one of the Oni warlords. During their invasion of Ninjago, one of the three warlords, known as Mystake, eventually turned on the other two when she discovered the beauty of the world created by the First Spinjitzu Master. She allied herself with the Spinjitzu Master and destroyed her two former counterparts.[64]
