— The Pit-Master to Blake Donovan, "In the Pits"

The Pit-Master is the former ringmaster of the gladiator fights in the Land of Madness.

History

History[]

Background[]

One time, the Pit-Master had Libber captured and put in his gladiator fights, until she used her Elemental Power of Lightning to escape, leading to the Pit-Master becoming afraid of the power. Sometime later, he captured Zilvar, who was supposedly the only survivor of his tribe.

After a coalescence began bringing in people from other realms, the Pit-Master sent his Craglings to retrieve them to use as gladiators, even coming across Jay, unaware that he is Libber's son. As Blake Donovan arrived for an inspection for the Administration, the Pit-Master bribed him to look the other way. However, upon seeing Jay easily defeat his opponent with his Elemental Power, the Pit-Master had the former incapacitated, and demanded Blake and the Administration to deal with Jay. Blake complied in exchange for double the bribery coins.

In the Pits[]

The Pit-Master met supposed bounty hunter Nya, who brought in the mercenary Rogue before deciding to pay her since Rogue would be of use in his gladiator fights. He puts Rogue against Zilvar, promising the latter his freedom, only for him to lose, and brought Rogue forward. Unfortunately, Rogue's goggles were damaged in the fight, causing the Pit-Master to discover that he was Jay. He was too late, as Jay disabled the security system and, with the Ninja's help, freed the prisoners. The Pit-Master was soon costed by Blake for his annual bribery, but the former refused, blaming him for not keeping Jay under control. Blake soon had the Pit-Master detained, and arranged for his memories to be erased so the Administrator would not know about the bribery.
