Trivia
Trivia[]
Ninjago: Dragons Rising[]
- Jaime Alberto Carrillo (Jay's Latin Spanish voice) took on the direction of dubbing for the series in Summer of 2024.[1]
- In addition, he was also the dubbing director of Ninjago Legends: Monstrosity.
- There are some voice actors from the first show who returned, albeit in different roles:
- César Garduza (Gravis and some other minor characters) returned as Rapton.
- Santos Alberto (third voice of Kodokuna Yang and the Emperor of Ninjago) returned as the Spirit of the Temple in Season 1.
- Dan Osorio (Nadakhan) returned as Arrakore in Season 1.
- It is unknown if this was a coincidence or done intentionally.
- Roberto Gutiérrez (Blunck) returned as Prentis and the Lightning-Tide Leader in "The Missing".
- José Luis Orozco (Killow) returned as Emperor Levo.
- Carlo Vázquez (young Wu, Ash, Jacob Pevsner and other minor characters) returned as Nokt.
- Iván Bastidas (young Morro in "Ghost Story") returned as Roby.
- Raúl Anaya (Ronin) returned as Bleckt.
- Salvador Reyes (Slithraa and Bolobo) returned as Powerlid.
- Luis Fernando Orozco (Acronix) returned as Morro.
- Óscar López did not return to Gulch (likely due to the studio change between S15 and DR1) and was replaced by Jesús Cortés. However, he voiced Tyr in Season 3.
- Marc Winslow returns to voice a Deven Mack character, after voicing Sonic in Sonic Prime.
- Although in the original language Kirby Morrow (due to his death in 2020) and Maggie Blue O'Hara did not came back Pale and Tox, for the Latin American dub, Eduardo Ramírez and Valca Ponzanelli did came back Mr. Pale and Tox after 6 years of dubbing them in Hunted. This is the first time the established cast of the first season has been respected since S11.
The LEGO Ninjago Movie[]
- Unlike the English dub, the film received the original voices of each character from the series, with Nya, Lloyd, and Wu being the exceptions.
- Rafael Velázquez Espinoza, better known as Rafa Polinesio, is a YouTuber and member of Los Polinesios, he voiced Lloyd Garmadon in the Latin American Spanish version of The LEGO Ninjago Movie. It was his voice acting debut and aimed to connect the film with his large online fanbase.[2][3] For many Spanish-speaking fans and voice acting professionals, his performance was considered mediocre and lacking the quality expected from a production of that scale.[1]
- Rafa watched at least the first season of Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu to prepare.
- During the casting, Rafa was asked to audition for Jay in case he didn't get the role of Lloyd.
- At his suggestion, he used his phrase 'No te pases' for the scene where Lloyd thinks that Wu has died after the appearance of Meowthra.
- He prepared for three months for the role before participating.
- His lines took approximately 1 month to record, while the other actors' lines took only one day to complete, which led to a slight delay in the dubbing of the film, however the spanish-dub of the film managed to come out on time even with the difficulties.[1]
- Curiously, all the actors from the film return to lend their voices in the videogame of the same name, however, Rafa would not return as Lloyd, being replaced by Emilio Treviño who was the voice of Lloyd in the series during those years.
