How to Catch a Dragon!
How to Catch a Dragon![]
Sometime after the Liberation of Ninjago, Wu and Lloyd procure Traveler's Tea from Mystake to return to the Realm of Oni and Dragons in order to learn more about what is to come and to pay a visit to Faith. Upon arriving in the desert world, Lloyd comments on their surroundings, to which Wu reveals that the land was not always a sprawling desert, but the war between the Oni and Dragons reduced the world to what it is now. Wu then reaffirms to his nephew that he and the other Stranded ninja had not seen any Oni during their time in the realm, but hopefully they may be able to discover where they had gone during this visit.
After entering Dead's End, the pair quickly encounter Faith, whom Wu greets. Unfortunately, Faith did not recognize Wu at first now that he had returned to his elderly self, and in alarm, she briefly threatened him with her Chain Rifle until Wu identified himself and Lloyd. Faith then led her guests on a tour around Dead's End, explaining how following Iron Baron's defeat, she had taken up the mantle of leading the Dragon Hunters, who had since made peace with the Realm's native dragons and now live in harmony with. Faith explained that she and her people were currently in the process of fortifying Dead's End in the event of an attack by the Oni, but confirms that they had not seen any nor did they know about the whereabouts of the mysterious demons. Although Faith considered making peace with the dragons one of her greatest achievements, she noted that there remained a splinter group of hunters who refused to accept the new status quo. Meanwhile, at this very moment, the splinter cell of hunters were planning an attack on Dead's End to retrieve Iron Baron's imprisoned body and to hunt a dragon to release their former leader.
Back in Dead's End, Faith led Wu and Lloyd to the center of the settlement, where Iron Baron's encased body was proudly displayed like a sculpture. Although Faith seemed nonchalant when mocking her former leader, Lloyd expressed concern that the splinter faction of Dragon Hunters might one day make an attempt to retrieve Iron Baron's body, though Faith dismissed his concerns as being unlikely.
As night fell, Dead's End came under attack by the splinter faction of Dragon Hunters. Rallying up the aid of Lloyd and Wu, Faith and her people prepared their dragons and launched a counter-attack, successfully driving off the majority of the would be attackers. Unfortunately, amidst the chaos, Jet Jack managed to snag Iron Baron's body and an Ice Dragon, completing both objectives of the rogue faction as they retreated back into the desert. Watching as their foes fled, Lloyd and Faith began to celebrate their victory, only to be informed by Wu that in truth, they had failed and their enemies had achieved their intended goals. Shocked by this news, Faith declared that they would have to go after the rogue hunters to save the ice dragon; as for Iron Baron, she couldn't care less about whatever happens next to him.
