The Ice Dragons are dragons from the Realm of Oni and Dragons. One of them was placed in the Ice Temple by Master Wu to guard the Shurikens of Ice. Elemental Master of Ice, Zane rode in one to get back to Ninjago before the Liberation of Ninjago.
History

Years ago, Shard was placed in the Ice Temple by Master Wu to guard the Shurikens of Ice.
Two Lies, One Truth[]
An Ice Dragon was run over by a Destiny's Wing. It chased after Kai and Faith. While chasing them, it froze another Destiny's Wing plane carrying one of the Dragon Hunters in it. They go into the canyons to lose it, but it keeps following them. Then, Faith chains the dragon and it runs over the Destiny's Wing with Chew Toy on it.
Lessons for a Master[]
The Ice Dragon with Stormbringer, Slab and the Fire Dragon.
After Wu tames Firstbourne, the mother dragon summons an Ice Dragon as well as a Lightning Dragon, a Fire Dragon and an Earth Dragon in order for Zane and the other ninja to get back to Ninjago.
Green Destiny[]
The Ice Dragon follows its fellow dragons through a portal that forms in the air of Ninjago. It helps Zane save his friends from the Sons of Garmadon, while freezing the fleeing thugs. Zane later flies on the dragon to help evacuate the citizens and destroy the Colossus.
At the end, the Ice Dragon and the other dragons return to their realm.
Endings[]
The Oni attacked the realm and the Hunters tried to defend themselves with the help of the Dragons, including a Ice Dragon, but only Faith and Firstbourne managed to escape.
