Icebite is the leader of the Ice Bear Tribe.

Background[]
As the leader of the Ice Bear Tribe, Icebite and his fellow Ice Bears were regarded as the fiercest and most formidable tribe ever to inhabit Chima. The Phoenix attempted to teach the Ice Bears how to live peacefully and civilized alongside Chima's other Tribes. However, Icebite and his companions had difficulty embracing these lessons, as their natural instincts frequently pushed them toward behavior that clashed with the principles they had been taught. Eventually, Icebite and the other Ice Bears became increasingly resentful of constantly being told that their true nature was unacceptable. When Sir Fangar began his campaign to conquer Chima, Icebite chose to join him and became one of the Hunters. Even after pledging allegiance to Fangar, the Ice Bears often ignored his commands.[1]
The Phoenix Elders eventually decided to stop the Hunters using the Great Illumination, believing its power could purify them. However, Fluminox withdrew at the final moment because he could not abandon his son, Flinx. His absence caused the Great Illumination to become unstable. Icebite and the other Hunters fought against the Illumination, which formed the Gorge of Eternal Depth and sent the Hunters into it. The energy of the Illumination removed so much heat from the Fangs that Icebite and the other Hunters were ultimately encased in ice.[2][3]
The Heart of Cavora[]
Leading the Ice Bears, Ice Bite charged towards the Lion Temple, destroying everything in his path and defeating the Tiger Strikers easily. However, the Ice Bears were easily defeated when the Brown Bears came to the battle. When the Second Great Illumination occurred, Icebite was purified along with all the other Hunters.

Icebite is a rare Ice Bear who would rather fight from a cockpit than down in the snow. From behind the controls of the Claw Driller, he can be a devastating fighter in battle. But don’t make the mistake of thinking he can only fight with a big machine to help him. He’s so good in a battle that he uses the Claw Driller just to make things more of a challenge.[4]
Bearing the Cold[]
The fearsome leader of the Ice Bear tribe is Icebite and in a tribe where only brute strength counts, you know the leader must be a beast. Icebite is very strong and an accomplished fighter. He is not very tactical, but he makes up for it with his lack of mercy. When he knocks you, you stay down. But for all his hand-to-hand combat skills, Icebite prefers to do battle from his Claw Driller mech. Not to protect himself from the fight, no no, but to protect the fight from him. Icebite loves to fight and he doesn’t want it to be over too quickly. He is much better on the ground than in his mech, so in the mech he stays. He always ignores the order to retreat or re-group. He fights to the last man. And he’s always the last man standing.[1]
