Extended: As Lloyd and Harumi venture deep into ‘Primeval’s Eye’ in search of the third Oni Mask, the Ninja attempt to fix the Bounty and make a startling discovery. During the crash, the ninja are separated. Harumi and Lloyd crash into one part of the jungle, while the remaining ninja, aboard the Bounty, crash several miles away. As the Sons of Garmadon close in on them, a desperate three-way race for the third Oni mask ensues. Aboard the Bounty, the ninja make an unexpected discovery. The baby that Cole rescued is ageing more rapidly than normal and has become a toddler. On top of that, the toddler can speak and mumbles the words, “ninja… never… quit!” which leads the group to realize the baby is MASTER WU! Several miles away, Lloyd and Princess Harumi fight their way through the jungle and discover an abandoned pontoon boat. Using the boat, they make their way downriver and accidentally disturb a centuries old CRUSTACEAN who attacks them. They manage to evade the crustacean to finally reach the Oni Temple, and the resting place of the third mask. Meanwhile, back at the Bounty, the ninja restore power to the thrusters and the trace program Pixal was running comes alive. The origin of the Quiet One’s transmission is revealed: It came from the Bounty! The ninja make a shocking discovery… the Quiet One is Harumi! They race to warn Lloyd. Unfortunately, as they attempt to take off, the Sons of Garmadon arrive. Using the baby Wu as a hostage, they seize control of the ship.[3]
Plot
Plot[]
Lloyd and Harumi are stranded in Primeval's Eye looking for the third Oni Mask.
The other ninja have crash-landed somewhere nearby and begin to work on the ship where Zane has a talk with P.I.X.A.L. about her activities. Zane states he is happy she has a body once more and is proud of her actions as a heroic vigilante.
Meanwhile, Lloyd and Harumi continue their journey and deal with the dangers of the jungle, and Harumi begins showing a strange side to herself.
As the ninja continue their work, the baby is suddenly a toddler and begins helping them with repairs and starts drinking tea. After Jay remarks he is done with these sights, the baby speaks and uses a familiar quote "Ninja never quit", shocking the ninja, where they realize that the baby is actually Master Wu! The ninja tell Nya and P.I.X.A.L. of the things the baby did and how they discovered he is Wu de-aged. Nya doesn't believe that he is actually Wu however, she soon does believe after she hears the baby talk and drinks tea just like her Master does.
The ninja watched him go for more tea, which Jay refills for him. Afterward, questions are raised by how Wu reverted to a toddler; Nya deduced it was because he touched the Reversal Blade to stop his aging before he was lost in time. Zane states if Nya's theory is correct, the Reversal Blade’s effects have worn off and now Wu will keep aging until he returns to normal, eventually.
When computers on the bounty are fixed, P.I.X.A.L.'s scan for the Quiet One is completed, and they discover that the scan led to the Bounty. The ninja quickly realize that the Quiet One is Harumi! They try to warn Lloyd but only for Ultra Violet and the Sons of Garmadon to stop them and capture the ninja.
Meanwhile, Lloyd and Harumi narrowly survive falling off a waterfall and discover the entrance to the Oni temple hidden at its base. Harumi evilly smiles to herself while Lloyd walks off, unaware of the truth.

Trivia
Trivia[]
- The beast that chases Lloyd and Harumi appears to be a green Grundle. This was done because reusing an already-existing creature model saved money.[4]
- When Lloyd and Harumi are being chased by the Sea Monster in the Black River, the Great Devourer's theme plays.
- When Samurai X is fighting the Sons of Garmadon, she suddenly flies away, raising a question on where she went.
Cultural references[]
- The river scene was inspired by the 1979 film Apocalypse Now.[5]
Continuity[]
- With Wu being revealed to be the Baby, Nya came to the conclusion that the Reversal Time Blade didn't just stop his aging, but also turned him into a baby. Zane remarks that now that the Iron Doom along with the Time Blades, has presumably been destroyed, their effects have worn off and thus Wu has begun to rapidly age to the point where he'll revert to how he was before making contact with the Forward and Reversal Time Blades.
- This does bring up the question of whether or not Ray has also de-aged to a presumably older age considering he made contact with the Reversal Blade later than Wu. It is also unknown what state he is currently in.
- According to Tommy Andreasen on X, Ray wasn't de-aged due to being only lightly tapped and that the effect on Wu is a bit different because of him being a son of the First Spinjitzu Master.[6]
- This does bring up the question of whether or not Ray has also de-aged to a presumably older age considering he made contact with the Reversal Blade later than Wu. It is also unknown what state he is currently in.
- Some more pictures of the ninja's allies that have not been seen on the Bounty in previous episodes of the season, can be seen in the background of many scenes. These include;
- A picture of Kai, Jay, Zane and Nya looking at the "My Photos" album from, and a picture of the four original ninja posing at Lou's house from "The Royal Blacksmiths."
- A picture of the ninja from the second version of the Season 2 intro, which was previously seen in Laughy's three episodes ago, except without the cutout of Dareth.
- A picture of Dareth in his dojo, and the photo of young Wu, Garmadon, and Misako from "The Day Ninjago Stood Still."
- A picture of P.I.X.A.L., and then a picture of her with Zane at Ed & Edna's Scrap N Junk from "Blackout."
- Cyrus Borg and P.I.X.A.L. from "The Curse of the Golden Master."
- A picture of Skylor from "The Invitation," with a heart drawn around her. This is presumably Kai's picture.
- Two pictures of Wu and Misako together from "Curseworld, Part II."
- P.I.X.A.L. reveals she has always hated not having a body, but has tolerated living in Zane and more recently, the computer because she has always just wanted to be useful and thought she was seen as more useful there.
- Zane states that P.I.X.A.L. has half of his heart, a reference to the third season. However, this was only metaphorical, as P.I.X.A.L. had since lost and rebuilt her body.[7]
- Lloyd mentions Morro, the Great Devourer, Pythor, Caves of Despair, Blind Man's Eye, and Hiroshi's Labyrinth.
- When Jay describes the sound he heard, he is describing the Sea Monster in the next episode.
Errors[]
- Nya says Wu "was touched by the Reversal Blade when he disappeared in time". This is slightly incorrect, as Nya touched Wu with the blade a few moments before Wu was lost in time in "Lost in Time." However Wu also touched the one on the Iron Doom so it is possibly that Wu was giving in reverse since he touched the one on the Iron Doom.
- It is revealed that Wu likes tea and knows the phrase, "Ninja never quit." However, his memory completely disappeared until Lessons for a Master, so he couldn't have ever remembered liking tea or the motto, since both of those originated some time when he was an old man.
- However it is possible that he simply forgot as he aged as it is common for people to not remember much of anything from when they were a baby.
