Background[]

At some point before Riyu's capture, Ras secretly broke into the archives to collect information and introduced a curse to the Scroll-Worms.^[3][4]

Dragons Rising, Season 1[]

Writers of Destiny[]

After repelling an attack by a tentacled beast, Lloyd, Nya, and Kai were granted access to the archives to seek information on stopping the MergeQuakes. Led by Marcus, the trio made their way to the archives where their guide explained to them the Scroll-Worms and how they could be used to find information. When Nya then asked a worm about the MergeQuakes, the worm and all others in the archives turned hostile and entrapped the four in cocoons.

Shortly thereafter, another MergeQuake appeared near the Cloud Kingdom alongside three tentacled beasts. With the ninja nonresponsive, Arin rushed into the archives only to find them imprisoned within cocoons suspended from the ceiling. After freeing Lloyd, the two fought off the Scroll-Worms and rescued the others before joining the battle outside.

Mindless Beasts[]

Nya was studying scrolls in the archives. A Scroll-Worm offered to help Nya, only for her to decline him because of the cocoon incident. While studying, she overlapped a scroll and a blue transparent paper, finding a map to the Temple of the Dragon Cores. Then, a ghost led her to the portal gate in the archives. Which caused her to end up at the Monastery of Imperium, where she met with Kai.

Shattered Dreams[]

Ras and Jordana made their way to the archives, with Suetonius and Marcus close behind. Suetonius said that they will defend the archives with their lives, only for Ras to reveal that he was the one who placed a curse on the Scroll-Worms. The Scroll-Worms captured Suetonius and Marcus, sealing them in cocoons and leaving them trapped.

Elements of Betrayal[]

Cole traveled to the Cloud Kingdom to ask with the Writers of Destiny about Arin's location. However, he learned that no one had emerged from their side of the portal gate since the explosion caused by the Forbidden Five had sent them to a different part of the Merged Lands.

Trivia[]

• Excluding Imperium, which initially featured a monastery prior to the reconstruction of its portal gate in the Land of Lost Things, the Cloud Kingdom archives are the only site that contains a portal gate that is not associated with a monastery, in contrast to the other locations that are all monasteries.
