Dragons Astray!
Dragons Astray![]
At the Monastery of Spinjitzu, the Ninja are on standby while Lloyd searches for Garmadon in Kryptarium Prison. They discuss amongst themselves about the troubling developments surrounding the ongoing Oni's invasion and debate whether or not freeing Garmadon to assist them is truly the right thing to do. As they discuss, Gayle Gossip reported on NGTV that two Dragons had suddenly appeared above Ninjago City.
In response, Kai, Cole, Jay, and Zane hastily sped off towards Ninjago City where they discovered the pair of dragons to be juvenile Ice and Wind dragons. The pair had likely traversed in search of Firstbourne, but discovering themselves in an unfamiliar environment, they were now unwittingly wreaking havoc across Ninjago City. As the four ninja discussed what they should do with the young dragons, Zane pointed out that the Oni cloud would soon take notice and attack its natural enemies, as would the young dragons. Although Jay hardly considered this development to be a problem, Cole noted that the dragons were too young to be capable of inflicting any meaningful damage against the Oni and that they should instead work on saving them from getting into a fight they could not win. Before the ninja could act, however, it seemed as if the Ninjago Police thought of the same idea and were now intercepting the dragons in a fleet of helicopters.
Unfortunately, the dragons did not take too kindly to the sight of the helicopters, with the Ice Dragon using its cryokinetic breath to freeze the rotors of one, sending it crashing to the ground beside the ninja. After checking on the wellbeing of the officers, Kai collected a megaphone and several flashlights from the helicopter wreckage, surmising that since the young dragons could not stand flashing lights or loud noises, they could lure their attention away with them. Elsewhere, Firstbourne sensed the arrival of her dragons.
Waving around their flashlights, the ninja carried out Kai's plan and surprisingly, both juvenile dragons began to follow them. With the dragons trailing behind, the ninja leaped across rooftops and evaded the tendrils of the Oni cloud as they attempted to make their way back to the Monastery. Though disaster struck as Kai's leg was snagged mid-jump by the Oni cloud and he now began to plummet towards the ground below! Fortunately, Kai's fall was broken by the Wind Dragon, which caught the Ninja of Fire and ferried him back to the rest of his friends. Realizing that the juvenile dragons were now looking to ally with the ninja, the four hopped onto the backs of both dragons and set off for the Monastery of Spinjitzu.
Upon arriving at the Monastery of Spinjitzu's courtyard, the young dragons set the ninja down before approaching Firstbourne. After being reassured that she was fine, the young dragons flew off to return home to the Realm of Oni and Dragons while the ninja watched from below. Shortly thereafter, Lloyd returned with his father aboard Destiny's Bounty and called on his allies to get on board; they had an invasion to stop!

Trivia[]
- The comic takes place during "The Darkness Comes" and claims to reveal what the ninja were doing when Lloyd went to Kryptarium Prison to free Garmadon. However, this cannot be possible because all ninja went to Kryptarium, not only Lloyd. As such, the comic is considered non-canon.
