A Dragon Hook^[2]^[3] is a type of grappling tool and weapon created by Sora for the ninja, they are based on the earlier model used by Arin. Since Lloyd wished to have a hook for himself, Sora invented these hooks for the ninja in order to grapple.

Beyond the Phantasm Cave[]

While Lloyd was meditating, Sora used the time to create the Dragon Hooks, per Lloyd's wish for something similar to Arin's Grapple Gun. She eventually finished a few by the time Lloyd, Kai, Nya, Arin, Riyu and herself left for the Dragon Masters' Dojo. Upon getting to the Phantasm Cave, Sora used her Technology power to use components from some fallen ships and Kai's Dragon Hook to make the Climber Mech for Kai to carry Wyldfyre, who stowed away while sporting a broken leg, and Riyu, who couldn't fly yet.

To Mysterium[]

Lloyd, Kai, and Nya use their Dragons Hooks to swing across trees while training alongside Arin.

Enter the City of Temples[]

The Ninja used their Dragon Hooks to climb up the mountain to get to the Tournament of the Sources.

Lloyd had a vision where he saw Sora using her Dragon Hook to fight Wolf warriors during the Ritual of the Blood Moon.

Despite Kai's hook having been transformed in his Climber Mech, Kai is seen using it in "To Mysterium." According to Chris "Doc" Wyatt, Sora created Kai a backup.^[4]
The three grappling hooks that appeared for the first time in the second part of Season 2 (the ones belonging to Wyldfyre, Cole, and Zane) reuse the same designs as Kai and Nya's, which appeared in previous episodes, instead of having their own design. However, their elemental ropes have their own colors, associated with their Elemental Powers.
