As the two Nindroids soar through the skies of the Merged Realms, Zane offers to show P.I.X.A.L. everything that she had missed since The Merge, pointing out towards the City of Temples as they drifted past. Retelling a story of when the ninja first sought out the fabled city, Zane recounted how they were unfamiliar with the forests surrounding the Dragon Stone Shrine and were attacked by large carnivorous plants as they made camp for the night. Fortunately, the plants had never encountered ninja before and were swiftly dealt with.

Some time later, as the duo traversed above the Endless Sea, P.I.X.A.L. marveled over the many new island chains that did not exist prior to the Merge. Confirming her attention to detail, Zane remarked that they were now between Imperium and the Land of Madness just as their balloon's plasma inverter gave out, forcing them to make an emergency landing.

Landing on the shores of a nearby island, the Nindroids began to scale the terrain in search of a new plasma inverter. Within mere minutes however, P.I.X.A.L. was caught off guard by a sudden exclamation from Zane, leading for her to quizzically ask if he had found an inverter already. To her surprise, Zane had actually found his old friend, the Falcon, once more!

After explaining their predicament to Zane's old friend, the Falcon connected with Zane to show him a recording through Falcon Vision, revealing what appeared to be a duel between several robots - and plenty of spare parts from the battling machines! Eager to find a new inverter for their balloon, P.I.X.A.L. and Zane rushed off towards the site of the brawl, though Zane sent off his metal friend with instructions to inform Lloyd of their whereabouts if they did not return within twenty-four hours. After a brief hike, the pair discovered once more to their surprise that the brawl was being hosted by none other than Cyrus Borg, with the ultimate prize for the victor being a random pick from his chest of tech! With wry smiles, P.I.X.A.L. and Zane accepted Borg's offer to compete in the tournament.

After some upgrades courtesy of Cyrus Borg and P.I.X.A.L., Zane prepared himself for the first round of the tournament. As he defended himself against Metal Rascal, Zane turned his attention to another competitor, Lokko, whom he dismissed as a weakling with "zero skills." Unfortunately, it soon turned out that Lokko had the ability to shoot off with intense bursts of speed, rushing against the sides of the battle dome's walls to ram into the other bot competitors such as Demolition Ace. In the second round, Lokko once again proved its formidability, destroying Metal Rascal and shattering Zane's right arm. As Zane lay on the ground from his injuries, he was approached by Fear Factor who then raised one of its blades but halted as the second round came to a close.

After some hasty repair work from P.I.X.A.L., Zane rejoined for the third round, quickly eliminating one of his final competitors. As he fought, Lokko began barreling towards him, but Zane was ready this time! With one swift motion, he caught the speeding ball shaped droid and slammed it hard into Fear Factor, destroying both robots and leaving Zane as the victor! After being awarded a plasma inverter by Cyrus Borg, Zane and P.I.X.A.L. quickly repaired their balloon and prepared themselves to once again resume their journey. Although Zane offered for the Falcon to journey alongside them, the robotic bird declined Zane's offer, revealing that it had found a mate and was now nesting with it. With a wave goodbye, Zane bid his farewells to his old friend, urging it to seize its life as he and P.I.X.A.L. began soaring onwards into the sunset. As they gazed upon the soft light upon the horizon, P.I.X.A.L. remarked that their journey together may potentially be more adventurous than had they stayed with the Ninja. In response, Zane asked if she was so sure about such a statement; for as far as they knew, perhaps the ninja were saving the world from a giant evil right now...
