Plot[]

Sleeper[]

Thanks to the Fire Chi, the Tribes of Chima finally started pushing back the Hunters. However, Sir Fangar decides to wake up the Ice Bear Tribe with the power of the Chi. However, as the Ice Bears wakes up, Fangar sees a thing that shocks him: Two Ice Bears pushing a frozen Ice Bear. The Ice Bears told Fangar that the frozen Ice Bear is Brommar and he overslept as always.

Heart of Ice[]

As the Ice Bear Tribe marches to the Lion Temple, Iceklaw starts telling the reader what being an Ice Bear is all about. He warns them about paying attention and says the first rule. Rule #1: Ice Bears don't repeat themselves.

Iceklaw tells that the Ice Bears are the meanest, toughest fighters in the land of Chima, saying that they make Saber-tooth Tigers look like field mice. Way, way back then, when the Hunters were out to conquer Chima, the Ice Bears weren't interested to following them, planning to charge in a pick up the pieces after their battles. However, after Fangar made a deal with Icebite, leader of the Ice Bear Tribe, the joined the Hunters. Rule #2: Nobody can beat an Ice Bear.

After saying this rule, Iceklaw includes they were some bruises, saying how they were so excited to fight that they tripped over each other. He also mentions how there was a crazy Bear that started a campfire in the middle of their big ice fort, melting the whole thing and forcing the Ice Bears to swim. Rule #3: Ice Bears hate to swim.

As the Ice Bears were overpowering the Phoenix and were marching on their last stronghold, they saw a bright light, which somebody later told Iceklaw that it was the "Great Illumination". This event caused the Ice Bears to freeze in the Gorge of Eternal Depth. The Ice Bears tried to fight of to freeze, but to no avail. Rule #4: Ice Bears hate losing.

During their imprisoment, Iceklaw explained that despite them not being able to move, they were still able to dream and his dream was to breaking free and making the Phoenix pay, stomping on every other tribe and making them remember why Ice Bears should be feared. He also included that a lot of thing changed in the land of Chima while they were imprisoned, with one of them being that you can't never trust a Saber-tooth Tiger. Fangar, his tribe, the Vultures and the Mammoths got away, but not them, since the Hunter were scared of the Ice Bears. Rule #5: One Ice Bear is worth 100 Saber-tooth Tigers, 200 Vultures and an infinite number of Mammoths.

Then, Iceklaw explained how Fangar tried to defeat the Tribes of Chima. However, because of the Phoenix, he couldn't finish things off. Because of this, the Hunters released them and asked them to fight for them. However, this time the Ice Bears wanted stuff in return and made a deal with Fangar: Chima have its name changed to "Ice Bear Land", the Mount Cavora will "Mount King Icerlot", and all Ice Bears gets five acres of the Outlands and a pile of Chi. Iceklaw says that's the reason why they are going to kick down the gates of the Lion Temple. However, he says they have few other plans after this, like going after the Phoenix before they perform another Great Illumination.

Iceklaw tells how Fangar thinks that when this is all over, he and the Hunters will be sitting on top. However, Iceklaw reveals that after taking down the Tribes of Chima, they will be taking down the Hunters too. Then, he says that being imprisoned in ice for thousands of years will feel like vacation, telling the reader to stick with him and it's going to be the Ice Bears all the way

The Masterpiece[]

Sir Fangar commanded Mottrot and Mungus to push a snowball, warning them to not slack. Curious, Mottrot asks if they have a catapuly big as this snowball, which in response Sir Fangar said that this snowball fitted into something much bigger than any catapult. Then, the Vulture Tribe places the snowball into a hole with the help of a sack, amusing Fangar, as it's revealed that the hole belongs to a snow statue of him. As Fangar called the statue a masterpiece, Mottrot says to Mungus that sometimes he thinks their boss is too big on his own art.
