The Hunter Glacier[1] was a mobile ice fortress that serves as the headquarters for the Hunters. Sir Fangar maintained a trophy room, keeping captured animals from the Tribes of Chima frozen alive. For a long time, Fluminox banned all retaliation against the base out of fear that melting the glacier would trigger catastrophic flooding across Chima.
After Sir Fangar abducted Li'Ella, the Heroes of Chima, Tormak, and Flinx launched a raid that freed the frozen prisoners and successfully collapsed the structure, melting it into the Grand Archway. The Hunters rebuilt their stronghold to continue their assault on the Lion Temple. They funneled stolen CHI into the glacier's core to grow a colossal ice tower toward Mount Cavora, but the mountain was permanently destroyed by Flinx following the second Great Illumination.
History
History[]
Background[]
The Hunter Glacier started as a temple that served as the main base for the Hunters during the Hunter Wars. When the Great Illumination happened, the temple, along with the Hunters, plunged into the Gorge of Eternal Depth and became encased in ice. The Illumination energy caused the ice to form over the temple's remains, transforming it into a glacier as the Hunters were gifted ice powers.[2][3]

Official description
Official description[]
This ice fort was built on the remains of the old Hunters' Temple which they hauled up From the icy chasm after thousands of years. When the Hunters were defeated by the Phoenixes, their temple was pushed into a deep and dark pit. Now, brought back to the surface and rebuilt, it towers above frozen Chima's landscape. The Fort consists of numerous bridges, defensive towers and icy claws that form its defenses. Beneath the fort lies a whole labyrinth of caves and chambers where Sir Fangar keeps his frozen 'trophies'. This humongous ice block moves ceaselessly forward, trapping everything in its path in ice.[4]
