Background[]
Years ago, the Tree of Madness existed as part of an underground cave in the Realm of Madness. At some point, the First Spinjitzu Master would hide the yellow fragment of the Weapon of Desolation within the trunk of the tree.[1]
Dragons Rising, Season 4[]
Just Under the Surface[]
After following the Loyalists, Nya, Jay and Kai saw them gathering around the Tree of Madness. When Nya questioned how a tree could grow underground, Jay reminded her that they were in the Land of Madness. As they watched the Loyalists, the Lead Loyalist scanned the tree to see if the yellow fragment was there. After putting her hand in the tree's core, she got the fragment. When the ninja were about to stop them, Jay accidentally blew their cover, causing a fight between them and the Loyalists. While escaping, one of the Loyalists threw a device, which made a force field to trap the ninja in the cave alongside the Tree of Madness.
The Grand Inquisition[]
Jay, Kai, and Nya escaped the cave where the tree was.
