Overview
Dr. LaRow is a former head scientist of the Advanced Systems Lab working for the Kingdom of Imperium. She was responsible for many great inventions under the rule of Empress Beatrix and helped her drain dragons and use their energy to bring glory to Imperium.
Once Beatrix focused her efforts on destroying the ninja, she was sent to the Land of Lost Things to retrieve the Yellow Dragon Core, managing to snatch the core from the Finders.
When Beatrix ordered for the Source Dragon of Energy to be drained of his energy to create a replacement Dragon Core, LaRow refused for the kingdom's sake. Her attempts to dissuade Jordana from proceeding led to her being taken away by the guards. After Beatrix was overthrown, Dr. LaRow fled from the kingdom and later became the leader of the Loyalists to help the former Empress reclaim her throne.
History
History[]
Dr. LaRow's picture in Ana's room
Background[]
Dr. LaRow was born in Imperium and at some point prior to or during Emperor Levo's reign, she invented the Hover chariots. At some point prior to or shortly after Beatrix's coup she invented the Imperium Drones. She later became a scientist working in the Advanced Systems Lab for Empress Beatrix after the latter's reign began and became a public figure in Imperium. Her inventions perfected Imperium to such an extent that some people believed their kingdom would never have been so perfect without her.[1] She would eventually be promoted to head scientist. At some point she created a magnetic creature known as the Sweeper intended to clean the Imperium Sewers but abandoned it, leading to it ending up in the Land of Lost Things.
Return to Imperium (flashback)[]
Dr. LaRow's first encounter with Ana
After Ana designed and created the Photac and won a prize for it, Dr. LaRow visited her in her classroom and introduced herself to her and her parents. She expressed her admiration for Ana's invention and asked her if she would like to come work at the Advanced Systems Lab.
LaRow draining the dragon named Sora despite Ana's cries
Dr. LaRow then took Ana to the lab and showed her there. When Ana expressed interest in a Djinjagan Dragon named Zanth that they had there, LaRow deactivated the shield protecting Zanth as she was no longer dangerous. When Ana asked what Zanth’s name was, she told Ana that some of the lab techs called the dragon “Sora”. She then explained to Ana that with the help of her technology, they could enhance the Photac so that it was not just a pet, but a weapon. She then took Ana's Photac and connected it to the dragon, from which she began to drain its energy. Ana did not agree with this, but she could not stop LaRow. When the absorption was complete, the holographic dog created by the Photac transformed into a wolf.
Ana leaving LaRow and the Advanced Systems Lab
Ana then tried to help “Sora”, but Dr. LaRow stopped her and asked her if she didn't understand that dragon energy was what powered Imperium. Ana knew that dragon energy was being absorbed, but she thought it was safe. In response, Dr. Larow said it was safe, but only for the people of Imperium. She explained to Ana that with an army of Photacs, they would be able to hunt down every dragon in the realm and that she brought her to the labs so she can make great inventions. However, Ana got angry, turned off the Photac, and ran home.
Dr. LaRow then called Ana's parents and explained what had happened, turning them against their own daughter.
Before the series[]
After the Sixteen Realms merged to create a singular world, Imperium expanded its hunting expeditions into new territories in order to capture the abundance of fresh dragons that had begun to appear. To accomplish this, the Advanced Systems Lab tried to reproduce the weaponised Photacs so the Claws of Imperium could use them in the field but were unable to reactive the original device on their own. In addition, Ana took advantage of the Merge to flee from Imperium and resettle inside the neighbouring Crossroads, leaving LaRow without a means to activate the Photacs.
Dragons Rising, Season 1[]
Beyond Madness[]
Dr. LaRow with Lord Ras and Imperium Guards
When Lord Ras summoned Dorama to come to Imperium, he was assigned to the Advanced Systems Lab to help Dr. LaRow make more Photacs.
When Ras came to check on them, Dr. LaRow complained that Dorama kept inviting her to his autobiographical one-man musical, but even so, he was the only one who could help them, as he had experience with extracting and exploiting exotic energy. When Ras asked her if she thought Dorama could make the Photac work, she explained that he could get the prototype to work but not mass produce it since the only person who could do it is the original creator of the Photacs, Sora.
Return to Imperium[]
Dr. LaRow surprising Sora
When Sora returned to Imperium and broke into the Advanced Systems Lab to disable the Photacs, Dr. LaRow surprised her from behind and told her that they were expecting her.
Mindless Beasts[]
LaRow forcing Sora to fix the Photac
Dr. LaRow then told Sora that she knew she would come since Rapton had used a Photac in the field so she expected Ana to not resist and come to try and shut it down. She then explained to Sora that they needed her to complete the Photac army, as Empress Beatrix began to need them more than before after the Merge, when many more dragons appeared in the realm than ever before. She then asked Sora what happened to the little enthusiastic girl who wanted to go to the labs and help. Sora explained that she grew up after the former hero turned her own parents on her. To that, LaRow said that Sora is old enough to know that all heroes disappoint eventually, even the ninja that she knew were helping Sora because of the Claws of Imperium mission reports.
LaRow draining Zanth's dragon energy
Afterwards, LaRow explained to Sora that she was able to use Dorama to create copies of the original Photac, but that they couldn't initialize the new devices, which she needed Sora to do. However, since she refused to do it voluntarily, Dr. LaRow showed her the dragon she knew from childhood and started torturing her. Sora finally relented and agreed to fix the Photac. When she did, LaRow asked her if it was done and then launched the Photac, but it exploded and Sora began to run away with the dragon, leaving LaRow and Dorama behind.
Ras glaring at Dr. LaRow after revealing something she wasn't supposed to
When Rapton managed to capture Sora and bring her back, Dr. LaRow made her finish what she started. She then started torturing Zanth again and as Lord Ras had promised, they would stop when she was done. And so, Sora went to work on the Photac while LaRow started monologuing about Sora coming back to shut down the Photac and eventually repair it to strengthen Imperium so that it can hunt down any dragon, even Source Dragons. At these words, Ras glared at her, as she revealed something she wasn't supposed to.
I Will Be the Danger[]
Dr. LaRow reporting the success of activating more Photacs to Beatrix
When Sora finished her work on the Photac, Dr. LaRow contacted the Empress through the screen and informed her that their work was done. Lord Ras then left the labs with the Claws of Imperium, leaving Sora, Dorama, and Dr. LaRow behind.
Dr. LaRow being knocked out by an unactivated Photac
While the escaping dragons were to meet the Photac army on the streets of Imperium, Dr. Larow watched everything through the small screen she held in her hands. Ignoring Sora, she talked emotionally about this new technology. Sora took this opportunity to hit LaRow in the back of the head with a deactivated Photac while the scientist wasn't looking, stunning her and leaving her lying on the ground, telling the older woman that she was weird.
When Sora then defeated Dorama in a duel and freed Zanth, LaRow slowly recovered, but there was nothing she could do about the fugitives.
The Calm Inside[]
Dr. LaRow preparing to drain Riyu
When Sora and Arin managed to break into the room where Riyu was imprisoned, Dr. LaRow and Jordana got into the room as they were summoned to drain the dragon's energy. Sora and Arin quickly hid, and then Empress Beatrix and Lord Ras also entered the room. LaRow immediately thanked the Empress for her generosity in supporting science. Then, together with Jordana, they connected a device to Riyu's cage, and LaRow ominously informed him that they were going to drain every ounce of life out from him.
LaRow pointing an Imperium Sword at blaster mode at Arin and Sora
When the dragon fights started in the streets, Ras and Beatrix left the room. LaRow began to complain about the poor working conditions because of the attack on the Imperium Palace when Arin and Sora tried to get to Riyu. However, Jordana noticed them and alerted LaRow, who took an Imperium Sword in blaster mode and pointed it at them to stop them. Together with Jordana, they also took their communicators so Lloyd wouldn't know what was going on with them.
The Battle of the Second Monastery[]
Dr. LaRow expressing her disappointment of Sora
LaRow and Jordana then cuffed Arin and Sora, and LaRow expressed her disappointment at what happened to her former pupil. Arin didn't understand why she called her Ana, so LaRow explained that Sora named herself after the dragon and immediately turned it around to try to poison them against each other by saying that maybe he didn't know his friend as well as he thought. She then turned to Sora and expressed her thoughts that the two weren't all that different as they both used dragon energy when they needed it. Sora argued that Riyu was giving her energy and she wasn't stealing it, but LaRow disagreed, so she showed her prisoners the street fight on a screen, saying that she would force them to watch their friends perish.
LaRow being defeated by Arin
Suddenly, the Monastery of Imperium started to emerge from the ground in front of the palace, which startled LaRow and Jordana, an opportunity Arin took to kick the Imperium Sword out of her hand. LaRow immediately gave up, saying that she detested physical brutality, which surprised Arin, but then Jordana got the Imperium Sword and started attacking. LaRow took this opportunity to run out of the room.
LaRow grabbed by the neck by Ras after failing to contain the prisoners
As the ninja and the dragons hid inside the Monastery, an angry Ras stood outside the door. Dr. LaRow then ran to him and informed him that their prisoners had escaped. Enraged, Ras grabbed her by the neck and lifted her up before throwing her to the ground, where he left her lying.
The Temple of the Dragon Cores[]
Dr. LaRow suggesting Beatrix to lower power usage
Dr. LaRow informed Beatrix that ever since the dragons had escaped, they had been struggling to meet their energy requirements. Beatrix harbored doubts as she was of the opinion that the energy crisis should not have risen, given that Imperium possessed the Source Dragon of Energy. Dr. LaRow explained that although it was true, the process of draining the Source Dragon was complicated. In addition, she mentioned Ras, since he devised an alternative plan regarding the Source Dragon's energy. Beatrix immediately interrupted her and warned her to never mention Ras around her. Dr. LaRow apologized and continued to explain that since they couldn't fully harness Source Dragon energy, they still needed the other dragons for their energy requirement. Dr. LaRow then informed Beatrix that there was a straightforward solution that involved lowering power usage. She suggested that easy conservation steps could save so much power that they wouldn't need to rely on several dragons. However, Beatrix was not convinced with this plan as she believed that asking people to do without would upset them, leading to difficulties in ruling over the Imperians.
Land of Lost Things[]
LaRow coming to the Land of Lost Things
Dr. LaRow arrived at the Land of Lost Things, where she found Zanth there and soon deployed her drones, managing to capture the dragon while saying the drone upgrades quickly dealt with the dragon and wished that Beatrix still cared about capturing dragons before approaching the Rookery. While approaching the Rookery, she sees her former pupil, Sora. LaRow tells Sora that she wasn't surprised to see her here before getting interrupted after Bonzle threw a bone at her head. She continues, saying that she wasn't surprised to see her here in the Land of Lost things and explaining to Sora that this is where the Advanced Systems Lab put broken experiments before telling the girl that she fits the description.
Dr. LaRow showing Sora her newest invention
When Sora tells LaRow that broken things can be repaired, the scientist ordered Imperium Drones to attack her, keeping her pinned down. LaRow asks Sora what her opinion on the drones upgrades is, with Sora saying it's impressive and asking LaRow whose work she stole, with the older scientist telling Sora that all the inventions made in the Advanced Systems Lab are legally hers. Releasing Sora, LaRow told the girl that her experiments are always going to fail due to her not seeing the bigger picture before sending an Imperium Drone to open a hole in the wall into the Rookery to snatch the Yellow Dragon Core. The Imperium Drone came with the Yellow Dragon Core in hand, with Geo holding onto the drone with a broom due to using Fusion to fuse the drone and the broom together. Geo stated that he was having regrets, with LaRow telling the hybrid that there wasn't any free rides before electrocuting him and making him fall. With that, LaRow left the Land of Lost Things.
Dr. LaRow contacting Beatrix of her success
Approaching Imperium, LaRow reported the success to Beatrix, telling her the obliteration of the ninja is now inevitable.
Absolute Power[]
Dr. LaRow, Dorama, Rapton, and Jordana reporting to Beatrix
With Beatrix asking for an update, LaRow stated there was still only two dragon cores and needed three to complete the MergeQuake weapon design. In the throne room, Dorama asked if this was a dress rehearsal of some type, LaRow responded that she wasn't sure but they would've haven't been summoned if it wasn't important. Overhearing Jordana that she was ready to serve the Empress, she shook her head in disgust with Jordana immediately responding that she would be ready to serve her as well. Soon, Beatrix said the time has come, rising the throne showing herself. After, Dorama saying it was such a dramatic reveal, Beatrix announced that all three of the dragon cores were finally collected. LaRow was extremely surprised that Rapton got his core stating her thoughts by saying "wonders never cease" causing Rapton to be mad at LaRow pushing her telling her why he wouldn't hear that.
LaRow being threatened by Beatrix
When Beatrix told LaRow if she knew what this means, she responded that it means that its time to prepare to test the MergeQuake Weapon stating they could test in a few days. Upon hearing this, Beatrix immediately rejected the offer saying that they'll test the weapon now due to the ninja being on their way. LaRow tried warning Beatrix of the possible dangers of testing the weapon now but Beatrix ordered her to not question her order and with that concluded the meeting. In the Advanced Systems Lab, she starts setting up the weapon soon seeing the energy readings were off. Beatrix approached her asking why the test hasn't started, LaRow stated the readings with one of the cores were off with Beatrix brushing it off ordering her to test the weapon now. LaRow, still hesitant, complied with the order and started the test. The MergeQuake weapon failed to work and caused a huge explosion damaging the lab as a result. Beatrix soon went up to LaRow telling her that she said MergeQuake weapon was ready for testing with LaRow telling her that she warned her of the possible dangers before getting called a failure leaving the lab.
Jordana taking over LaRow's task to drain the Source Dragon of Energy
With Beatrix returning to the lab, LaRow stated the system was almost back up and running. Beatrix stated she didn't care for the system but wanted to know how the MergeQuake Weapon was. LaRow told Beatrix that the core Rapton brought was a fake, which explained the different energy readings and the explosion. Beatrix, in response to LaRow's claim that finishing the MergeQuake weapon was impossible, confidently brings up the fact that Dragon Cores are created using the energy of Source Dragons. She reminds her that there was a Source Dragon imprisoned under the Kingdom of Imperium, which presented an opportunity for them to create a fourth Dragon Core. However, LaRow quickly interjected, reminding Beatrix about the futile efforts of draining energy from Source Dragons. She emphasized that even if they could, it could potentially lead to the destruction of the entire kingdom. After LaRow told Beatrix that she refuses to do it, Jordana stepped up to volunteer, telling Beatrix that she found flaws in her superior's methods, with the Empress agreeing to the offer, much to LaRow's dismay.
We Are All Dragons[]
Dr. LaRow mocking Jordana for trying to have a rivalry with Sora.
Hearing all the commotion from Jordana's attempt to drain the Source Dragon of Energy's energy, LaRow told her that she warned her. After the doctor told her that wanting to compete with Sora is pathetic, Jordana quickly ordered guards to take the head scientist away. However, LaRow tells her that it can't be done before getting taken away by the guards.
She was later seen in a video footage, telling Beatrix the dragon can't take much more, with the Empress stating that she doesn't care and ordered her to keep draining the dragon.
After the Liberation of Imperium[]
Following the defeat of Empress Beatrix, Dr. LaRow fled from the former kingdom, feeling she had lost everything as the prosperity of Imperium had been tied to Beatrix's reign, despite her cruelty, sadism, and attempt at nearly destroying the Merged Realms. At some point, she formed the Loyalists, a cult of Imperians that were still loyal to Empress Beatrix, with LaRow herself emerging as the "Chief Loyalist". She was determined to help Beatrix reclaim her throne, planning to manage the former Empress's darker tendencies to prevent further chaos. LaRow eventually ventured into the Land of Eternal Dawn, where she learned about the Weapon of Desolation by discovering the Tablet of Desolation and with it the spell that split it into two fragments.[2]
Dying to Live (flashback)[]
LaRow found Beatrix near Umbrasilvis after she had just escaped from the Land of Monsters and was gravely injured. LaRow provided Beatrix the necessary medical care to save her.
Dragons Rising, Season 4[]
The Whispering Wood[]
As the Chief Loyalist, LaRow visited the Shrine of the Seven Sources in the Whispering Wood, predicting the appearance of Elemental Monsters at that location. After being welcomed by a pair of Source Dragon acolytes, she questioned them and watched as the stone spheres of the Source Dragons of Life, Focus, and Strength fell to the ground as they lost the powers of Life, Focus, and Strength due to their respective Source Dragons leaving the Council of Sources. She then watched as bolts of unstable Source Energy connected all the spheres before striking both the pool of water in the center and the ground nearby, causing the water to turn to acid which released an Acid Monster and the ground to turn to asphalt which released an Earth Monster. She then left as the Elemental Monsters attacked the acolytes while speaking into a communications device about how everything's going as planned and that the ninja don't stand a chance so the Quest for Desolation can begin.
After leaving the Whispering Wood, she went to the Loyalist hideout where she held a meeting with other Loyalists and informed them of the emergence of Elemental Monsters. She then projected the Weapon of Desolation and ordered the Loyalists to find it while vowing that Beatrix's time will come soon.
Tonight We Hunt Monsters[]
The Chief Loyalist once again contacted Loyalists across the Merged Realms in a meeting, requesting updates in the search for the Weapon of Desolation. When the Grand Inquisitor said he's close and has been following readings he believes to be promising, she ordered him to keep her informed of any data he uncovered and requested a report from another Loyalist. When she was met with silence, she asked the rest for updates, only to be met with more silence and yell at them to trace the energy pulses of the Weapon of Desolation before ending the meeting and looking at the hologram of the Weapon of Desolation.
Later, the Grand Inquisitor contacted her again and informed her of the capture of a Mutation Monster. She ordered him to do what he needs to do and let no one stand in his way before ending the call and walking away.
Prior to A Wonder of the Merged Lands[]
The Chief Loyalist predicted that the Mutation Monster would gain an empowered form if allowed to attack Umbrasilvis again so she ordered Johnny Courageous to release it.
Seed and Soil[]
The Chief Loyalist was once again contacted by the Grand Inquisitor, who informed her that the Mutation Monster was released from the Expanding Frontier and behaved just as she predicted. She asked the Grand Inquisitor if he got the information they need, which he did and sent her the data. After receiving the data, she removed her mask and informed Beatrix of it, revealing that the Weapon of Desolation was splintered in two different locations before promising her they would find and reassemble it for her. Once Beatrix was done speaking with her, she bowed and proclaimed, "All Hail the Good Empress."
Just Under the Surface[]
When Cole went to the Old Town to track down the Loyalist he saw, the Chief Loyalist ambushed him with a trio of Loyalists and ordered them to stun him. After one of them shocked him into unconsciousness with an Imperium Sword in taser mode, she returned to the Loyalist hideout as he was arrested.
Dying to Live[]
LaRow listened to Beatrix's speech with the other Loyalists in the Loyalist hideout at a meeting and delivered an update about the Weapon of Desolation and informed them that hidden Loyalists had obtained both halves and were on the way with them.
After the meeting, LaRow paid Beatrix a personal visit and informed her of the incantations written by the First Spinjitzu Master which split the Weapon of Desolation in half, unaware that Cole was eavesdropping from his cell. She calculated that if the incantations were reversed, they could make the Weapon of Desolation whole again and informed Beatrix that she had found it in the Land of Eternal Dawn before the Lead Loyalist walked in and handed her the yellow half of the Weapon of Desolation. She asked the Lead Loyalist if she was able to retrieve it without being detected and was informed that they had a run-in with some ninja but trapped them in a cave. LaRow then dismissed the Lead Loyalist and handed Beatrix the piece of the Weapon of Desolation.
After Cole escaped his cell and was defeated by Beatrix, LaRow stood by her side waiting for the second piece of the Weapon of Desolation. When the Grand Inquisitor arrived with it, she claimed it and handed it to a Loyalist before speaking the incantation to rejoin both pieces. Once the weapon was restored, LaRow told Beatrix the final word she must say to gain control of it.
The Heartbeat of all the Realms[]
LaRow joined the Loyalists and Beatrix in marching on Imperium and stood by her side on a hovering platform.
After Cole escaped his restraints and jumped onto the platform LaRow and Beatrix were on, he punched LaRow off before touching the Weapon of Desolation and powering up.
After the Electrobarrier was reactivated, LaRow informed Beatrix that there were covert Loyalists in the city who had sabotaged the barrier. Beatrix asked LaRow to remind her to spare them from her wrath when the city was taken back.
Once the barrier was disabled, LaRow watched as several Mutation Monsters entered the city.
Birthright[]
LaRow joined the Loyalists, Elemental Monsters, and Beatrix in entering the City of Imperium and watched as the Elemental Monsters attacked civilians.
During Beatrix's fight with Lloyd, LaRow joined the Elemental Monsters and Loyalists in attacking civilians with her Imperium Sword and watched as Beatrix used more of the Weapon of Desolation's power to strengthen the Elemental Monsters, wondering if Beatrix was still controlling it.
When Beatrix used the Weapon of Desolation again to further empower the Elemental Monsters, LaRow nervously watched as she hoped Beatrix wouldn't push it too far.
Once Arin got possession of the Weapon of Desolation, LaRow and her Loyalist bodyguards took cover and watched as he erased the Elemental Monsters and pulled their energy back into it.
Following the Battle of Imperium, LaRow was arrested and imprisoned in the Imperium Prison for her crimes. There, Lloyd, Sora, Arin, and Percival Tartigrade interrogated her about the Weapon of Desolation, particularly how Beatrix had come to find such a formidable artifact. LaRow felt insulted that Beatrix took credit for the discovery, as she she had done all the work. Though she admitted to Sora that she knew that Beatrix was unstable, the collapse of her reign had left LaRow and various others feeling as if they had nothing, causing the defeated leader of the Loyalist to believe that she could shackle the worst impulses of the Good Empress. When Lloyd retorted that Beatrix was uncontrollable, LaRow confessed that she believed the former monarch had begun to fall under the thrall of the weapon and told Sora that she could never retrace her steps back to where she had learnt about the item, stating she was not certain it even had a name.

Force From the East (flashback)[]
While Geo was thinking about Cole and all the memories he made with him, Dr. LaRow briefly appeared in his flashback when Cole managed to save Geo from falling after getting electrocuted by her.
Personality
Personality[]
Dr. LaRow's true face of a coward
On the surface, Dr. LaRow appears to be a kind and indulgent person who is only trying to help the Kingdom of Imperium and enjoys the admiration of the unsuspecting citizens of the kingdom.
In reality, she is actually very sadistic and takes pleasure in draining dragons of their energy, which causes them great physical pain. She is also very manipulative as she constantly tried to convince Ana to help Imperium and even let her watch her harming a dragon she had previously befriended. At the first opportunity, she tries to turn friends against themselves if it gives her an advantage and compares herself to other people to make them insecure. She believes that all heroes eventually disappoint.
When she is defenseless, she reveals her true cowardly nature, which she hides by refusing physical violence despite previously having no problems with trying to shoot Arin and Sora.
Despite these demonstrations of her cowardice, however, LaRow demonstrates a few scruples and limits when she made the conscious decision to refuse the orders of Empress Beatrix after her liege demanded that she commence with draining a Source Dragon, knowing this could lead to the destruction of Imperium.
Appearance
Appearance[]
Dr. LaRow is a pre-middle-aged woman with long brown-black hair tied in a bun. However, a few strands of her hair are already gray. She has a small mole above her mouth and three golden stripes on the right side of her face like most Imperians. She always wears large black glasses with lime green lenses, through which her black eyes are visible.
For clothing, she is dressed in a black uniform with gold and gray detailing over which she wears a long white lab coat with gold detailing and badges.
As the Chief Loyalist, LaRow wears a black robe that has serrated red and gold trims with gold symbols, two gold pins resembling draconic heads that hold together a gold chain with an oddly-shaped lock of the same color, red gloves, and a black and gray belt with a gold buckle. The back of her robe has the Loyalist symbol, which appears to resemble the entity emblazoned on the Weapon of Desolation. She also wears black pants and a cloak of the same color with tattered edges, in addition to a gold mask with a slightly demonic visage and lime green gem-like eyes.

Trivia
Trivia[]
- Her personality is similar to another villain, Pythor, in that they are both manipulative, convinced of doing the right thing, sometimes sadistic, and both cowardly in losing situations.
- Although several characters wear glasses, she, Gandalaria, Dr. Julien, and the Administration Agents (Humans and Munce) are the only ones whose glasses are three-dimensional.
- However, this was changed on her physical minifigure.
- She was the only character appearing on the main poster of Season 1 who did not have a physical minifigure at the time.
- Her minifigure was released in 71837 Ninjago City Workshops, almost 2 years after her first appearance in Season 1. However, the physical minifigure has various inconsistencies with her design in the show.
- Her glasses are three-dimensional in the show but for obvious reasons they are printed on her head piece in the set.
- She lacks leg and arm printing in the set.
- Her hair color in the set is brown, although it is black with white stripes in the show.
- As the Chief Loyalist, she doesn't wear a cape and sports a different hood instead.
- In the Latin American Spanish and Turkish dubs, LaRow was given a male voice while her identity as the Chief Loyalist remained secret, helping to further conceal who she really was. A similar approach was taken in the original version when Harumi was using the Kabuki Mask persona.
- She is the fifth character to have a minifigure that represents a hidden identity, which is eventually revealed through the sets. The first was Krux, who turned out to be Dr. Saunders, followed by P.I.X.A.L. as Samurai X, the Overlord as the Crystal King, and Jay as Rogue.
- She is the second character in Dragons Rising to fit this pattern, with Jay being the first.
- However, within the show, Dr. LaRow's role as the Chief Loyalist is not much of a secret to the other characters, or at least to the ninja, given how Cole was actually able to recognize Dr. LaRow as the Chief Loyalist just by hearing her voice.[5]

Allies
Allies[]
Beatrix[]
Beatrix and Dr. LaRow
Dr. LaRow use to work for Empress Beatrix during her reign. She was in charge of draining Dragons of their energy for the City of Imperium and provided many inventions for the kingdom. After the Ninja liberate all the captured dragons, minus the Source Dragon of Energy, LaRow informed Beatrix the city had an energy crisis and tired offering some alternatives, but the empress refused to listen. Later on, Beatrix orders LaRow to create a weapon capable of controlling the MergeQuakes. While testing the weapon, LaRow tried to inform Beatrix one of the Dragon Cores energy signature was different from the others, because the one Rapton brought Beatrix was secretly a fake because he joined the Resistance in order to stop her, but the empress disregards her warning, causing a huge explosion in the lab. When Beatrix orders LaRow to create a new core using the imprisoned Source Dragon, LaRow tells her that doing so could destroy Imperium and refuses.
Dorama (formerly)[]
Dr. LaRow and Dorama
Dorama is a former ally of Dr. LaRow. Dr. LaRow first impression of Dorama is bad stating that he's a complete weirdo and flirted with her but Dr. LaRow did acknowledge Dorama's ability to activate the Photacs.
Jordana (formerly)[]
Dr. LaRow and Jordana are former allies. Originally, Jordana worked with Dr. LaRow serving her with loyalty, though the older woman made no attempt to spare her feelings when she expressed the belief that Sora was the brightest student she had even known, upsetting her assistant. However, the relationship slowly began to deteriorate after Jordana decided to take Dr. LaRow's job of draining the Source Dragon of Energy and with Dr. LaRow trying to stop Jordana by discouraging her. It backfired as Jordana told Imperium Guards to take away Dr. LaRow.
Ras (formerly)[]
Ras is a former ally of Dr. LaRow. As the lead scientist at the Advanced Systems Lab, she played a crucial role in the extraction of dragon power, which was a primary reason for Ras's reliance on her expertise. When Sora was arrested by the Claws of Imperium, Ras sought LaRow's assistance in completing the Photacs. During this, LaRow intentionally divulged too much information to Sora, prompting a glare of disapproval from Ras. The situation escalated when Dr. LaRow reported the escape of Arin and Sora; in a fit of rage, Ras seized her by the neck, lifted her off the ground, and forcefully threw her down.
Rapton (formerly)[]
As a member of the Claws of Imperium, Rapton issued reports on his conflicts with the ninja that reached Dr. LaRow, which allowed her to determine the whereabouts of Sora and learn that her former pupil had become a student of Lloyd. However, even though the pair worked besides one another in service to Empress Beatrix, LaRow showed little regard for Rapton's competency and had no issue stating this, expressing wonder at the idea that he had been able to complete a mission, much to his indignation.

Sora's parents[]
Dr. LaRow seems to have a neutral relationship with Sora's parents, as she called them about Sora, nothing is between them and they don't seem to have any further relationship beyond the minor interaction they had, though the couple were nervous in her presence and gave a visible sigh of relief when the scientist expressed how impressed she was with Sora's Photacs. After the fall of Imperium, however, all three went on to become Loyalists who sought to restore the previous reign, though the conclusion of their campaign saw LaRow arrested, while the other two evaded capture.
