The Great Mudslinging!
The Great Mudslinging![]
One day within the Monastery of Spinjitzu's dragon stables, Wyldfyre was enjoying a meal and watching as Alfonzo Frohicky mopped the grounds. Impressed with the assistant keeper of the monastery's graceful movements as he cleaned, Wyldfyre stepped forward and suggested that Mr. Frohicky should undergo ninja training. After exchanging a few blows, all of which Mr. Frohicky blocked with his mop handle, Wyldfyre complimented the former on his defensive form, but noted with a cheeky grin that he lacked an elemental power. Unable to contend with Wyldfyre's fireballs, Mr. Frohicky was thrown against one of the walls of the dragon stables just as Kai walked in and asked what all the commotion was about. Wyldfyre then explained to her teacher that she was trying to train Mr. Frohicky in the ways of the ninja, prompting Kai to bring both of them to the courtyard's obstacle course.
In the moments that followed, Kai and Wyldfyre watched on with amazement as Mr. Frohicky effortlessly breezed through each and every one of the obstacle's course's challenges. When he completed the course, Mr. Frohicky was shown some of the ins and outs of throwing shurikens by Wyldfyre while Kai spoke with Cole on the prospects of Mr. Frohicky becoming a ninja - something the Ninja of Earth seemed rather skeptical about. Their argument was soon broken up by Lloyd, who informed all those present that a disturbance was arising in the Village of the Mud-Tides and they would have to intervene to maintain the peace. Upon Kai's urging, Lloyd agreed to bring Mr. Frohicky with them, remarking that at the very least, the assistant keeper of the monastery could learn something about managing diplomacy.
Upon arriving in the Village of the Mud-Tides, the ninja and Mr. Frohicky discovered the Mud-Chief engaged in one of their ritualistic ceremonies with another Mud-Tide who aspired to become the new chief. With Lloyd's urging, Mr. Frohicky attempted to intervene and speak to the Mud-Tides. Unfortunately, they responded to Mr. Frohicky by angrily denouncing him for disturbing their ritual. Although Mr. Frohicky attempted to apologize, the Chief rejected his words and demanded for the former to face off against the Mud-Tide Warrior in a duel. As a gigantic Mud-Tide stepped forward, Mr. Frohicky turned back towards his allies with a panicked expression before turning back towards his opponent with a gulp.
The Chief then declared that if Mr. Frohicky could defeat the Warrior in combat, he would be forgiven for interrupting their ritual. As the duel commenced, Kai and Wyldfyre urged Mr. Frohicky onward, calling for him to remember his training. Unfortunately, any blow the frog-man landed against the giant mud-tide failed to even faze it. It was now the Warrior's turn and it began to very quickly overwhelm Mr. Frohicky while the rest of the ninja watched on and commented on the duel amongst themselves. Elsewhere, Mr. Frohicky landed beside a pool of water after being kicked through the air by the Mud-Tide Warrior. Discovering a large reed and another bushy plant growing beside it, Mr. Frohicky was hit by inspiration. Grabbing both plants, he now sprung to his feet and leapt once more at the Mud-Tide Warrior, using them as substitutes for his mop and sponge as he began to scrub the giant Mud-Tide! With each brush and stroke, the Warrior shrank every smaller until it was no larger than the other members of its kind.
With the Warrior now reduced, Mr. Frohicky stepped forward and declared it was time to put an end to the duel. Before he could strike however, the Chief stopped him. Mr. Frohicky then explained to the Mud-Tides his methodology, noting that as a cleaner, he likes to solve big problems by focusing on them one at a time until the amount of problems became smaller and more easily manageable. Tying his story back into the point of the Mud-Tides' dispute, Mr. Frohicky added that they too could prosper from such a mindset and they could accomplish much more together than they could alone! As the Mud-Tides cheered, the ninja rallied around the assistant keeper of the monastery and praised him for his handling and settling of the Mud-Tides' dispute.
As the ninja rode back on their dragons to the Monastery, Cole conceded to Kai that he lost the bet and asked what Kai would like for him to do. In response, Kai asked Cole to take janitorial lessons from Mr. Frohicky once they returned, much to the Earth Ninja's dismay as Kai watched on, laughing.
