The Big Clean-Up
The Big Clean-Up[]
In the aftermath of Thunderfang's defeat, the Ninja split up into groups to help reconstruct the Merged Realms. After assisting throughout Ninjago City, Stiix, and the Wyldness, the ninja reconvene and make their way to Abracalabria in Mysterium.
Upon arriving in the village, the ninja are greeted by Gandalaria who explained that although she had been helping in the village's reconstruction efforts, one of her Magical flutes had been swept away by the Winds of Chaos. Fearing the worst should such a powerful artifact fell into the wrong hands, the High Sorceress and the ninja set off in search of the missing flute, speeding off towards Kreel's Junkyard after Nya remarked that she may have seen the flute there earlier that day. Sometime later, the ninja and Gandalaria arrived in the junkyard, discovering its titular owner lying unconscious on the ground.
When Kreel awoke minutes later, she explained to the ninja how not long after Nya left that morning, the junkyard came under attack by Rapton and his Freebooters, who had then made off with multiple items including Kreel's mech and the magical flute! When Jiro expressed reservation about confronting Rapton and the Freebooters, noting that they were once members of the Claws of Imperium, Kreel offered the ninja some Hover flyers to use instead. Equipped with new modes of transportation, the ninja set off towards Fedulian's All-Realm Antiques Emporium, for where else would a thief sell stolen goods?
Meanwhile, Rapton and his Freebooters were strolling down one of the streets in the Crossroads at a leisurely rate, with Rapton at the helm of the mech they had stolen from Kreel. Not long after, the thieves were confronted by the ninja, almost immediately resulting in a confrontation. While the ninja and Gandalaria quickly dispatched Rapton's goons, the leader of the Freebooters attempted to make a run for it in Kreel's Mech. His escape, however, would be cut short thanks to Riyu and Wyldfyre slamming into the fleeing mech and leaving it teetering off the edge of the highway. Infuriated by his loss, Rapton agreed to surrender the mech but revealed his plans to escape with the rest of the stolen loot! Fastening on a parachute, the pirate leapt out of the mech's cockpit and glided to the streets below with the big bag of loot. Unfortunately, the rest of the ninja and Gandalaria were waiting for him at the bottom and quickly apprehended Rapton when he landed. While Rapton protested his capture, Lloyd returned the magical flute to Gandalaria who noted that she would have to find a really good hiding spot for it.

Trivia
Trivia[]
- In the comic, both Gandalaria and the ninja are shown to be aware of the flutes and their properties, with Gandalaria being as the flutes' owner. However, this conflicts with the episodes of the show, where Gandalaria appears unfamiliar with the flute and its effects.
- In the comic, Gandalaria visits Abracalabria, though she would visit it for the first time in years in "The Hollow Ones." It is possible that the comic takes place immediately before "The Hollow Ones," so the events of both the comic and the episode would count as one visit.
