While Kai was on a mission to investigate rumors of a new serpentine threat in the Sea of Sand, he was surprised by a snake warrior in his mech, who defeats and captures him. Kai was taken to the base of the snake warriors, who tried to put him in a cell, but he managed to break free and tried to escape. In his attempt to escape, Kai faced several snakes warriors. While trying to discover their weakness, he used a Sacred Flute (which turned out to be fake), water and even a replica of the Pause Time Blade, however, nothing worked. Kai finally managed to defeat the snake warriors when he built a two-edged sword using smaller swords. After the confrontation, Kai ran away to get his friends.

The Lost Tomb![]

After multiple skirmishes with the Ninja, a group of Snake Warriors led by a Cobra Mechanic sought to unearth a long forgotten tomb inside the Forest of Tranquility, intending to add more members to their ranks. Having anticipated the intervention of their enemies, the Snake Warriors prepared a trap for the Ninja should they arrive. And arrive they did, intending on stealthily stopping their operation. Although the Warriors were able to successfully spring their trap, driving the Ninja away from their excavation site, they very quickly realized that they had failed to destroy their enemies, forcing them to divide their forces to search across the vast forest. Unfortunately, this ultimately led to the Warriors falling into one of the Ninja's own traps, costing them their powerful tree-cutting vehicle, which the Ninja seized as they made their way back to the excavation site. Although the Snake Warriors were close to unsealing the tomb, they were forced to retreat after the defeat of their leader and the Ninja's ambush with the Warriors' own tree-cutter.

Appearances
Behind the scenes

Behind the scenes[]

  • All of them are named after on a species of snake.
  • All of them re-use the recolored head mold originally used on some Pyro Vipers.
  • According to Niek van Slagmaat, the reason why the designers chose snakes as villains for Ninjago: Core is that "Snakes were picked as the bad guys because we could not rely on content to explain a more abstract villain. Snakes are instantly recognizable as Ninjago and test well with children."[3]
  • Tommy Andreasen said about them "I have no idea about what they are. I only know them from the sets."[4]
Trivia

Trivia[]

  • Their color schemes are reminiscent of the Constrictai.
    • Frak, a hybrid, shares this resemblance with Reginald, who is a Constrictai.[5] Additionally, Frak sported the snake warriors' insignia on his first gi. It remains unclear whether this similarities suggests a connection between the snake warriors and the Constrictai, such as belonging to the same tribe or having other ties, as so far, the Ninjago Magazine stated that each snake warrior is classified as a distinct species of Serpentine like the ones introduced in Rise of the Snakes.[6]
  • They are the fourth snake group to be a villainous faction. The others being the Serpentine in Rise of the Snakes and Legacy of the Green Ninja, the Vermillion in The Hands of Time, and the Pyro Vipers in Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu.
    • The snake warriors share similarities with the Serpentine from Rise of the Snakes in their role as a villainous faction. The snake warriors are made up of four distinct Serpentine tribes: the Cobra Mechanics, Boa Destructors, Viper Flyers, and Python Dynamite, while the Sneaky Snakes are represented by only one member. This mirrors the Serpentine from Rise of the Snakes, which is primarily composed of the Hypnobrai, Fangpyre, Constrictai, and Venomari, while Pythor is the sole member of the Anacondrai.
  • They are the second snake villainous faction to use recolored head molds from previous villainous factions. The first was the Snake Army in The LEGO Ninjago Movie.
  • An orange ocean gang member also resembles them, although he is not Serpentine, but Merlopian.
