It is implied that a couple of weeks have passed between the short and "When Doves Cry," as Rapton has claimed to be working in the Crossroads for a couple weeks and was still part of the Freebooters during Season 3.
The title of the mini-movie coincidentally shares similarities with the title of another mini-movie, "Curiosity" from The Virtues of Spinjitzu.
