Gimon-Ogu

Overview

“So I just finished telling Fuzz the story of when Daidan and I defeated a kraken and how Daidan protected me.”

The Gimon-Ogu[1] was a kraken that lived in the Land of Monsters. It had the ability to create illusions in order to lure victims towards it. After Rusty sacrificed himself to free Kai and Daidan from its illusions, the former (with help from the latter) was able to kill it with his fire.

History

History[]

False Light[]

After wandering across the Land of Monsters alongside Rusty for some time, Kai and the mech arrived along the shores of the lake where the Gimon-Ogu resided. Sensing new prey, the monster lured Kai into its waters by creating an illusion of Wu and the other Ninja, to which the exhausted Master of Fire began shambling towards, believing it to be a portal back home. When Daidan arrived along the shores, she saw an illusion of her baby, alive and well again, and she too began wading into the waters. Rusty however was not deceived by these illusions, even when confronted by his former master who offered him the opportunity to walk alongside him once more. Undeterred, Rusty prepared to attack the Gimon-Ogu who in kind, responded to Rusty's vigilance by attacking him with its tentacles and dragging him into its gaping jaws.

Left without any option, Rusty triggered his self-destruct mechanism, greatly injuring the Gimon-Ogu which began howling in pain. With its concentration broken, the illusions and entrancement it held over Kai and Daidan was broken as well. As its prey escaped to the surface of the lake, the Gimon-Ogu attempted to attack them directly with its tentacles, managing to wrap around Daidan to pull her under, but this was too little, too late. With one mighty blow, Kai struck the Gimon-Ogu and slew the giant beast. With its death, its soul was sent to the Spectral Lands.
