The energy extraction device was a device created by Sora to extract some Elemental energy of the Mutation Monster to cure Riyu's numbness.

A Wonder of the Merged Lands[]

After Freya brought her a box of technology, Sora made the device to save Riyu's life by collecting energy from the Mutation Monster. Then, she took the device and went to the Expanding Frontier with Frak, where they found the creature and the Explorer's Club. After a brief conversation with Reginald, Sora put the device to containment unit the monster was in, which started collecting energy from it. When Reginald tried to charge them for using the creature's energy, the device became full, allowing Sora and Frak to leave. However, after they gave energy to Riyu, it wasn't enough. So, they went back to the Expanding Frontier with the device, only to find no one.

Seed and Soil[]

While Sora was searching for the Mutation Monster with Frak, the creature revealed itself to her. Then it tried to attack the device, only for Sora to save herself and the device. After the monster escaped to Umbrasilvis, Sora took the device with her. During the fight, Sora put the device on the Mutation Monster's neck, collecting energy from it. However, the monster threw her, which knocked the device. Thankfully, Freya was able to take it. Then, Sora took the device from her and injected into Riyu, which had weird effects on him that eventually made him transform into a bigger form.
