The Expanding Frontier is an airship from the Explorer's Club, primarily used by its members on their quest to Umbrasilvis.

The Lean of a Tree[]

In Umbrasilvis, Sora noticed the Expanding Frontier, thinking that they can hitch a ride to Ninjago with it while Frak reluctantly pointed out that it's an Explorer's Club ship.

After Sora asked if they are going back to Ninjago, Reginald said that there is plenty of room in the Expanding Frontier. We also included that if they run out of space, they will toss Gweeg, much to Gweeg's annoyance.

A Wonder of the Merged Lands[]

After Sora and Frak arrived in the Expanding Frontier to collect energy from the Mutation Monster to cure Riyu, they saw the Explorer's Club celebrating the creatures' capture. After a brief talk with Reginald, Sora put the energy extraction device to the containment unit the monster was in, allowing it to collect energy from it. As the Reginald was about to charge them for taking energy, the device became full, allowing Sora and Frak to leave the ship.

While the other members weren't looking, someone released the creature from the containment unit, allowing monster to roam freely on the ship and make a huge mess.

After realizing the energy they got wasn't enough, Sora and Frak returned the ship, only to find it in a mess. As they noticed the Mutation Monster was not in the containment unit, they heard a scream.

Seed and Soil[]

While continuing to search for the Mutation Monster in the Expanding Frontier, Sora and Frak decided to split up, going to different ways. While Sora was contiuning to explore the ship, she encountered Rowan Rockspike, who told her that they were the one who was screaming and pointed at the direction the monster went. As Sora was going into that direction, she heard squealing, only to found out it's coming from rattling slats while the monster was behind her back. Meanwhile, Frak was continuing his search in a different part of the ship where he encountered a mysterious individual, thinking that they are the one who freed the creature. As he chased the mysterious individual, he heard Sora's scream, causing him to go there. The Mutation Monster tried to attack the device, only for Sora to save herself and the device. As Frak arrived, the Mutation Monster escaped to Umbrasilvis through a vent. Then Reginald came, scolding the two for letting the monster escape. As Frak and Sora left the ship to chase after the monster, Reginald yelled behind their back, wanting them to bring the monster back

Just Under the Surface[]

After the Mutation Monster's disappearance, Reginald, Rowan and Johnny came out of the Expanding Frontier to inform the ninja that they are leaving Umbrasilvis.

The Grand Inquisition[]

Thinking that they can find clues, Frak and Sora went to the Expanding Frontier again. While searching for clues, Frak found a scale that Reginald shed, thinking that he is the mysterious individual he saw in the ship. However, Sora countered by saying Reginald could have shed that scale at any point, causing them to search for more clues. After encountering a dead end, Sora noticed a secret button and pressed it, revealing a room with an old Imperium tech in it. While looking at the device, Sora noticed that it's processing readings to find the location of the resonant item. Eventually, the device found the location, allowing Sora to know where the mysterious individual was searching for. Then she put the device back on its place to prove the identity of the mysterious individual, leaving the ship with Frak.

After the Grand Inquisitor grabbed the fragment and revealed that he was a Loyalist, he used the Expanding Frontier to escape from Umbrasilvis with Johnny.
