In an effort to defeat Thunderfang, Lloyd and Arin have crossed over to the Spectral Lands, where they catch a glimpse of its resident Soul Suckers prowling the grounds below. As the duo discuss the fact the soul suckers are now visible, a group of mechanics suddenly appear before the ninja, forcing them to swerve out of the way.
After recovering from their crash and confirming that the Unbidden Storm remained undamaged, Arin and Lloyd shift their focus to the group before them. When one of the mechanics asked where they were, Lloyd nonchalantly replied that this was the Spectral Lands, where the deceased go now to move on into the afterlife - a revelation the mechanics were dismayed to learn. Apologizing that they could do nothing more now for the deceased, Lloyd attempted to restart his Jet Mech, only to discover that it had been severely damaged in the earlier crash. Fortunately, the recently deceased mechanics were more than willing to lend a hand!
Retreating into a nearby warehouse to avoid the Soul Suckers, Arin and Lloyd were provided each with a pair of Prismatic Goggles, fashioned from some of the Prismatic Steel coating their mechs while the mechanics worked on repairs. After several more moments of nothing, Arin muttered that things were too quiet just as a Soul Sucker smashed through the warehouse window.
Acting quickly, Lloyd knocked the spectral creature back with a blast of Energy, only to discover that its pack continued to lurk outside. With repairs still underway, Lloyd and Arin began to fight off the Soul Suckers. One of them seemed to remain visible after being defeated, leading Arin to suggest that they had managed to kill one. When both ninja stepped closer to inspect the creature, the Soul Sucker counterattacked with a mighty kick of its hind legs, sending both ninja flying.
Realizing that the only way to destroy the Soul Suckers was with prismatic steel, Arin returned to the warehouse and requested a piece from Mari-Sa. As the pack of Soul Suckers began to enter the warehouse, Arin charged the piece of prismatic steel with Object Spinjitzu and hurled it at them, destroying all three of the spectral beasts. With the ninja's mechs now operational again, Lloyd and Arin returned their prismatic goggles to the mechanics who then reinserted the prismatic steel into their mechs. In exchange, Lloyd and Arin agreed to guide the mechanics to safety in the afterlife, dropping them off at a "meeting point" before flying deeper into the Spectral Lands in search of Thunderfang.
