Overview
Soul Suckers are wolf-like ghost creatures from the Spectral Lands that hunt in packs, attacking and feeding off the spirit energy of both the living and departed. The nodes on their back are a weak spot, allowing them to be defeated with a well-placed attack. They were unable to cross the border at the edges of the Spectral Lands to travel the merged lands.
Following Thunderfang's arrival at the Spectral Lands, it was suspected that he absorbed all of the remaining Soul Suckers, as none were seen when the Ninja entered the land to investigate.
After Thunderfang was defeated by the Arc Dragon of Focus, it's unknown what became of the Soul Suckers after they disappeared with Thunderfang.
History
History[]
Background[]
Soul Suckers existed presumably following the disappearance of the Preeminent, which led to the Cursed Realm being relocated to the Departed Realm. Consequently, when the Merge occurred, the two realms fused together, resulting in the creation of the Spectral Lands, one of the new lands formed in the Merged Realms. Morro chose to stay and guided departed souls as they moved onto the afterlife and protect them from Soul Suckers.
The Spectral Lands[]
Upon arriving in the Spectral Lands, a Soul Sucker attempted to drain Arin but was engaged in combat by Morro, who then instructed the ninja to use his Prismatic Blade to see the creature and strike the nodes on its back. After driving it off, Morro warned that their respite would only be brief, as Soul Suckers hunt in packs.
The two would then evade three other Soul Suckers as they made their way through the village and towards the Well of the Lost, but would later be attacked by the same three, or three others, as they made their way back to the border of the region. These three nearly succeeded in draining a weakened Ras of his soul but were seemingly destroyed when Arin infused the Returning Blade with Spinjitzu energy and hurled it at their nodes.
The Shatter Dragon[]
When Thunderfang arrived in the Spectral Lands, four Soul Suckers came running towards him, only for the Shatter Dragon to absorb their souls before declaring that anything was possible in the afterlife.
