This article is about the ability. For other uses, see Dragon Form (disambiguation).
“Hopefully not entirely, for he prophesied that one day, the defenders of Ninjago would achieve a higher form of Elemental Energy. Something he called "Dragon Form," which they would use in the final conflict against evil.”

Dragon Form is an ability that can be used by any Elemental Master that possessed one of the four elements of Creation or an individual who has Dragon blood,[1] turning them into a humanoid Dragon.

Dragon Form[]

They fight and charge against the Crystal army and reverted the Weapons of Destruction back to the Weapons of Spinjitzu and defeated the members of the Council of the Crystal King.

Trivia[]

  • Dragon Form has a similar yet opposite counterpart called Oni Form.
    • Unlike Oni Form, which only works for beings who have Destruction or are part-Oni due to their Oni blood, Dragon Form works for those who have one of the four main elements or at least have dragon blood.[1]
      • The fact that Dragon Form can also work for those who have dragon blood was first implied in "An Issue of Trust," where Lloyd was trying to unlock this ability alongside the ninja, despite no longer being a user of the four elements of Creation, and then by Chris "Doc" Wyatt on a Bluesky post.[2]
  • The Dragon Form is ultimately achieved by "jumping up, kicking back, whipping around, and spinning". This is a reference to the chorus of The Weekend Whip.
  • According to Chris "Doc" Wyatt, Lloyd while actively in Dragon Form is susceptible to Wasting Sickness.[2]
    • This ultimately confirms Lloyd can access Dragon Form.
      • Although this doesn't elaborate on whether his Dragon Form can be access naturally, or whether it requires the usage of the "jump up, kick back, whip around, and spin" incantation that was used by the four Ninja.
      • Since Lloyd is confirmed to be able to access this power, this means that Wu and Garmadon can as well since they also have Dragon blood.
        • When asked if Lloyd and Wu's dragon forms would be humanoid like the original 4, or if they would be actual dragons, Chris "Doc" Wyatt replied, "Depends".[4]
  • According to Chris "Doc" Wyatt, Dragon Form and Oni Form are equally matched. The strength of each depends on the proficiency of the user.[5]
  • In the unreleased Greatest Battles, Lloyd speaks about achieving a "Draconus Form" and depicts him as well as Kai, Zane and Cole in humanoid dragon forms, tough without the golden coloring of Creation. It is unknown if this Draconus Form is the same as Dragon Form or just a similar but different ability.
