Fake CHI, Real Trouble is the fourteenth episode of the first season of Legends of Chima.

Plot

Plot[]

Bladvic and the Bears are riding through the Grand Archway when he wakes up Balkar to remind him to stay alert as the Wolves are still around and will try to take their CHI, just then the Wolves attack and Worriz orders to take the Bears' CHI, Bladvic presses a button on his Speedor which drops the bee nests on it and spilling honey onto the Wolves which causes a swarm a bees to fly in and start latching onto the Wolves. Wilhurt falls off his Speedor and is stung by the bees, Winzar then tries to take out the Bears but he too is knocked off, Worriz is able to get some of the CHI but is surrounded by the Bears, just then Laval and the Lions show up to help the Bears fight off the Wolves, they are successful as protecting the bears and force the Wolves to retreat, Laval apologizes for the delay as they had to make three other convoys before arriving due to the fact that the wind storms have grounded the Eagle Interceptor Jets, Bladvic then realizes the CHI is missing and asks where it is.

Cragger and the Crocodiles finally arrive back home to the Crocodile Swamp after Laval freed them from the Wolves, Cragger expresses that for once, his mind feels so clear and that he wants to thank Laval for freeing him and his tribe from the Wolves, but Crooler then says they are supposed to hate the Lions, but Cragger doesn't feel the same then expresses his desire to give something back to the tribes of Chima for the trouble he caused, Crooler then tries to get her Persuader Plant to work but it doesn't seem to work anymore so she heads to Raven Town for help. She meets with Razar and asks him for help in growing a new plant to use on her brother, but Razar says that they plucked all those plants years ago but he then points him to a strange alchemist named Reegull appears to be a hybrid of Raven and Eagle and presents Crooler with what appears to be an orb of CHI that he created.

At the Lion Temple, the Lions are harvesting as much CHI as they can from the Sacred Pool, but Lagravis says it won't be enough to make up for all the CHI the Wolves stole, Laval then asks if it's possible to make more CHI but Lagravis tells him that it's impossible to create more CHI than what Cavora allows. Meanwhile, Crooler is with Cragger in Raven Town overlooking Reegull creating his CHIgull, Cragger asks if the CHIgull Reegull made will be as powerful as the ones in the Lion Temple, he says more or less and he gives Cragger an orb but before he can try it, Crooler says they should give it to their underlings first so they call in Crug who uses the CHIgull and is able to hold up both of them without breaking a sweat. Crooler thinks that with enough of the CHIgull they can rule all of Chima but Cragger wants to give them away to the other tribes to make up for the bad things he has done.

Cragger then starts handing out the CHIgull to all the tribes; Bears, Beavers, Rhinos and the Ravens, he tries to give some CHIgull to the Ravens but Razar tells him that he thought Crooler was there for mind controlling potions, not the CHIgull, he then tells Cragger that the CHIgull is trouble and that they would've been selling those things if they were any good, Cragger asks him what he is talking about but then he turns to Crug, the CHIgull seems to be draining, but when Crug is no longer powered he starts behaving like a bird and Cragger asks if that will happen to anyone that uses the CHIgull to which Razar says pretty much and Cragger realizes his mistake. The Lions are then making their way through the Grand Archway when they are attacked by the Wolves who have come to claim their CHI, the Lions are able to hold them off but the Wolves are relentless in their pursuit so Laval then tells the Lions to duck when ready and the Eagles are there to help out, they drive the Wolves away but were able to steal half of the Lions' CHI for themselves.

The Wolves are then celebrating their victory when Windra comes up behind Worriz and tells him that Cragger was able to obtain more CHI then him. Laval and his group then arrive at the Gorilla Forest to give the Gorillas their CHI but Gorzan tells him they don't need it as Cragger stopped by a while ago and delivered them some CHIgull, Laval then sees the CHIgull they have and asks how they will able to do that. Cragger then asks the same question to Reegull about how he made the CHIgull, he then realizes that Reegull knew this would happen but Reegull explains himself; he was born to an Eagle father and a Raven mother, but because he was a hybrid neither of them wanted him so he spent years changing his body to appeal to them but still couldn't fly so he made the CHIgull to make all of Chima act like him. Reegull then says he plans to turn the tribes that use the CHIgull into Reegullites and orders Crug to attack but he doesn't seem to obey as Crawley thinks he is trying to lay an egg. Cragger then decides he needs to warn the other tribes before they use the CHIgull, denying Crooler's desire to rule all of Chima.

Grumlo however used a CHIgull orb and it also made him act like a bird too, Laval then tells Gorzan that if the CHI is not from the Sacred Pool then it's not real CHI, Grumlo then falls off the tree trying to fly but Laval gives Gorzan a real CHI orb and uses it to catch Grumlo. Cragger is then making his way back through to all the tribes to take the CHIgull however some tribes are already affected like the Beavers, Bears and Rhinos, Cragger thinks Rogon is affected but he assures Cragger telling him he always does that as he is trying to impress Eris who he still has a crush on, Cragger then asks Rogon where the CHIgull is, he points up to the other Rhinos who have used up the CHIgull and are acting like birds.

Cragger then runs into Laval and Laval notices the CHIgull Cragger has, he tries to hide it but Laval isn't fooled, he then asks what it is and Cragger says a mistake but assures Laval that the effects of the CHIgull should wear off in a day. The Wolves then ambush them and come to take the CHIgull, not knowing what they really are, Laval and Cragger let them take it so they will turn into birds as well, at the Lion Temple, Longtooth announces the arrival of the Wolves with a Lion roar and the temple is locked down and Lagravis says to prepare for anything, he asks Longtooth how it's going with the CHI and he tells him they distributed most of the CHI to the other tribes but that leaves them with little CHI for themselves, just then the Wolves arrive with Laval and Cragger tied up and are ready to attack but the CHIgull orbs power down and thus the effects of them start activating in the Wolves, Worriz who is unaffected asks what is going on when Laval and Cragger start laughing and say the Wolves have gone full bird brain on him.

Laval, Cragger, Eris and Grumlo lead the Wolves back to the Wolf Camp with bread crumbs and Cragger then tells them they have to make sure this doesn't happen again. Laval and Cragger at Raven Town then tie up some Bellow Plants to Reegull's back and they send him away, he says doing that will send him to a place called the Outlands, but he then calms down after seeing he is flying and says it's not so bad, but his luck runs out when all three plants pop, dropping him back down to the ground, Laval and Cragger then leave Raven Town to give some real CHI to the tribes of Chima, this time as best friends once more.

  • When Laval tells Bladvic he had to guard three other convoys, the Lions in the background are missing their headgear.
  • Whenever Crug is shown powered up by the CHIgull, the orb is seen in the upper chest instead of the belt, where his actual spot to plug CHI is.
  • Duplicates:
    • During the scene where the Rhinos get their CHIgull, clones of Runk, the Rhino Leader, and even Rogon are shown, conflicting a later statement that Rogon was the only Rhino who didn't use the fake Chi.
    • When Razcal examines the fake Chi, two Rawzoms can be seen.
  • At 11:25, Longtooth turns into Laval during a close-up.
  • At 12:15, Wilhurt's entire torso is missing.
  • At 12:25, Laval's Speedor is shown entirely black.
  • Worriz is seen on the wolf truck clucking with his tribe when they're transported back to the wolf camp, but he's the only one out of them that wasn't affected by the chi because he didn't plug one.
