Gorillas tend to be super strong but also super mellow. This is even more true for Gorzan, one of the most sensitive creatures in all of CHIMA. He is incredibly powerful and can efficiently crush most enemies, but he will later anguish over “the poor flowers” he stepped on during the battle. Gorzan sometimes cares a little too much about the little things – he’d rather pick the nits out of your fur or offer you mellow advice than help you in battle. He is overly-sentimental and prone to staring wistfully at flowers. He sometimes feels another creature’s pain before they even realize they had any pain. He’s THAT sensitive. Be aware when greeting him – he gives everyone a big, loving, (and inadvertently painful) hug whenever he sees them. So wear some extra armor if you’re hanging out with him socially. Gorzan’s just a great guy – and a wildly-powerful fighter when his warrior instincts kick in – but he can sometimes be a little high maintenance.[1]

The Warrior Within[]
Along with G'loona and Grumlo, Gorzan traveled to the Lion City to collect the Gorilla Tribe's monthly Chi. Laval's playful behavior amused Gorzan when he handed over the Chi, but Lagravis soon reminded them to show more respect. Taking this lesson to heart, Gorzan calmed down. On their way back home in their mechs, Gorzan spotted a small flower growing in the middle of the road and initially thought it was crossing. G'loona corrected him, explaining that it was simply growing. Gorzan expressed that with love and care, the flower could bring joy to the world. G'loona proposed relocating it to a safer spot, like a sunny hilltop, but Gorzan disagreed. He felt the flower belonged on the road and deserved respect, so he chose to protect it by guiding travelers around it instead of moving it.
As various tribes approached, Gorzan consistently urged them to take a left detour. When the rhinos voiced their frustration about crossing through the jungle due to the flower, Gorzan defended it, stating that the road was the true issue obstructing the flower's path. Eventually, the rhinos agreed to the detour, but they quickly became lost. When the ravens came to meet Cragger, Razar sought compensation for the extra travel caused by the detour. Gorzan initially dismissed the request lightly, but he soon realized that one of the flowers Razar was trying to sell was the same one he had been protecting. It dawned on him that Razar had uprooted the flower while he was distracted and was now attempting to sell it back to him. Enraged, Gorzan reclaimed the flower and chased the ravens away.
After Gorzan retrieved the flower, he settled beside it, vowing to protect its home. However, the arrival of the Wolf Tribe disrupted his peace as they sought a quick route to the creek, ignoring Gorzan's warning. Concerned for the flower's safety, Gorzan entered his mech and confronted Worriz, blocking the Pack Tracker's path. Gorzan initially held the upper hand, even after Worriz attempted to enhance his strength with harpoons. He managed to throw Worriz into the air and struck the Pack Tracker, sending it crashing. Unfortunately, debris from the wreckage fell onto the flower, leaving Gorzan heartbroken. He quickly removed the steel and grieved for the damage before fleeing with the flower. Together with G'loona, he took it to the sunny hilltop she had suggested.

Gorzan was sitting on Spiral Mountain with Laval, Cragger, Bezar, Bladvic, Dom de la Woosh, Plovar, Rogon, and Skinnet when a portal created by the Realm Crystal opened in the sky which released Lloyd and Morro, who opened another portal with the Realm Crystal and passed through it with Lloyd.
