Plot

Plot[]

Laval is in the room preparing to meet with the other tribes to sign a peace treaty but is distracted when he gets into a match with his Sir Punchalot doll, Lagravis scolds his son for this childish act and tells him that he needs to take this seriously since he and his friends are the young leaders of Chima, Laval assures him they will be on their best behavior, Cragger meanwhile is getting his teeth done by Plovar, he tells Plovar that he has Crooler setting up the meeting at the Forever Rock which Plovar seems upset that Cragger didn't include him in it. At the Forever Rock, Crooler is setting up the meeting with the seats and fruit shakes, she also lays out a Persuader Plant root hoping to recreate her Fog of Destiny she saw before and disrupt the meeting, just then all the tribes arrive at the Forever Rock with Eris and Rogon not hiding their affection for each other, Skinnet then shows up with the treaty so that it's fair to all the tribes not just how Laval and Cragger want it, he then reads off the treaty and has the tribes raise a paw or claw on if all of them agree on each agreement, but Skinnet reveals a whole lot more to the treaty which includes things related to him, Laval rips off the part of the treaty that actually matters and say they can get to the other stuff later.

After a toast, Crooler throws the root she had into the fire causing the Fog of Destiny to occur, affecting all the tribes except Skinnet, in the vision, Laval and Cragger fight each other while the rest of dealing with their own thing, Cragger is able to knock Laval out of his trance into the water to which Skinnet pulls him out, Laval asks what's going on, Skinnet tells him about the Fog of Destiny and Laval vows to get back in there before Cragger destroys the rest. Cragger is about to destroy Eris when Laval stops him and tries to talk some sense into his friend about how this isn't who he really is and to resist the fog but he is knocked back into the water to which he decides he can't defeat Cragger and must find another way to wake them all up from their sleep.

Laval then tries to go back in for a third time but is knocked out again and has to think of another way to wake them all, Skinnet tries going into the fog himself to wake the tribes but he is jostled around and thrown back out, then Laval and Skinnet try to throw water at them to wake them but it bounces back at them, they then think of yet another way to wake them when the ground shakes, Skinnet tells Laval to do that again but Laval notes that it wasn't him but rather the creation of a Golden CHI orb, he heads back to the Lion Temple when the orb is created, Longtooth and an elder pull it out, Laval then comes and takes the orb and heads back to the Forever Rock but is pursued by the Lions, he makes it to the Grand Archway when Lagravis catches up to him and asks how the orb will help his friends at the Forever Rock, Laval says it's complicated and tells his father he needs to trust him on this, but Lagravis reminds Laval that he stole CHI, breaking one of their most sacred rules, Laval then reminds his father that he told him a great leader needs to make a sacrifice at some point, Lagravis, against his own instincts and better judgement let's Laval go but warns him of the consequences for breaking the rules.

Laval then arrives at the Forever Rock and Skinnet tells him something was terribly wrong with Eris and Worriz, Laval tells Skinnet to stand back as he is using the Golden CHI he stole, he is able to transform the terrain causing a rock to form and sending the other tribes into the river, each tribe awakes but Cragger is nowhere to be seen, he makes himself known when he appears up on the ground above, Laval then tries to get him back down to sign the treaty but Cragger still under the effects of the fog refuses and knows his true destiny now in Chima and he leaves the Forever Rock. Laval then returns home where he informs his father and the elders of the Fog of Destiny which they have heard of, he then explains that that was why he needed to break the rules and steal the Golden CHI, but Lagravis and the elders let it slide as he did it to save his friends and all of Chima, but Laval still thinks he deserves the punishment he was warned about as in the fog he realized his true destiny, not to be a hero or a warrior but a great leader and to him, a great leader means dealing with the consequences for any rules he disobeyed, Lagravis continues to try and reason with Laval and says that the circumstances were unusual but Laval says that a true leader doesn't make exceptions, but he warns Laval that the punishment for breaking these rules is exile, but Laval accepts this punishment and he leaves to go pack for his exile with Lagravis exclaiming "what have I done?" with Longtooth comforting him.

Cragger then returns to the Crocodile Fortress and Crooler asks him how it went, he replies saying he now knows his true purpose in Chima and that is to rule all of it, Crooler is pleased and tries to join her brother, but Cragger has Crawley and Crug lock her away in the Dungeons claiming that he never should've listened to his sister which it makes the point that he might've heard that somewhere before, he sits on his throne when he smells something. Skinnet decided to let out a big skunk spray which has seemingly spread to all the tribes, he is then perched on top of the Spiral Mountain where Plovar asks him if this is necessary to which Skinnet says he is just sharing his true destiny with everyone in Chima.

Trivia[]

  • This is the other of two time where the Golden Chi dissipates after its use, the first being "The Chi Jackers"
  • Even though the fog is called the "Fog of Destiny", it only seems to show one's true desire, not destiny.
  • Of all of the characters who entered the fog, Eris and Worriz were the only ones whose "destiny" was never revealed.
  • This is the only appearance of a Raven's "inner warrior" in Season 1.
  • This is Wilhurt's last speaking role in the series.

Continuity[]

  • Crooler learned about the Persuader Plant's other powers in the previous episode.
  • Cragger scolds himself for ever listening to his sister, just as his parents had warned him before they fell into the Gorge Of Eternal Depth.
