Plot
Plot[]
In the Lion Temple, Lagravis is reading off the punishment Laval is taking after stealing the Golden CHI orb, he says that the punishment is exile and that means no one will ever see or hear from him ever again, Lagravis tries to get Laval to ask for a pardon but Laval says he has to do this even if what he did it was to save his friends and all of Chima, he gives his sword and harness to his father and is about set off when Lagravis reminds him that he was only a cub the last time a Lion was exiled, this Lion was called Lavertus, a close and best friend to Lagravis, but he did something that sent him into exile and they haven't seen him since and Lagravis doesn't want the same from Laval, but he comforts his father by saying that he can't be exiled from his heart, Lagravis then asks how he got so wise and Laval noted that he had the best teacher ever as Longtooth goes to comfort Lagravis, he then starts making his way down the steps when the tribes see him off while giving him gifts like honey from Bladvic and Rogon's pet rock, Chip, he then gets to Eris who is crying hard over the fact that he is leaving, the two say goodbye and Laval leaves while also waving goodbye to the other tribes he passes, he is then walking across the canyon when Cragger spots him and tells Ripnik just a few more days and they will be ready to rule Chima.
Laval makes it to the Spiral Mountain where he intends to stay and tells Chip he will protect him when Skinnet makes himself known, Laval asks him what he is doing there and he says it's the only place in Chima he can be without anyone getting annoyed at as skunk smell, Laval tells him that the point of being in exile is that they can't see or talk to each other, Skinnet then offers that he and Plovar join Laval but he runs away to try and find another place to be alone. At the Lion Temple, Lagravis in his Laval's old room and even talks to Sir Punchalot saying that he misses his son too, as he leaves, Ripnik enters the room and takes Laval's sword, harness and a cloak and then takes his Speedor which Lagravis spots and chases who he thinks is Laval, he makes it to the Grand Archway when Cragger reveals himself, Ripnik then launches a net and captures Lagravis.
Laval arrives at the Fangs hoping that he can be in exile here but Skinnet and Plovar once again show up, when he asks how they got there so quick, Skinnet says he knows all sorts of shortcuts throughout, Laval then orders them to stop following him since he is meant to be in exile but they don't listen and keep pestering him, he tries to run away with Chip but runs into ShadoWind, he asks him what he is doing there but ShadoWind simply gives him what appears to be the Pledge of the Pack and rides off, Laval asks what the goo on it is and Skinnet says it's from the Outlands which Laval says is one of the most dangerous places in all of Chima, Plovar says that he heard the Crooler dropped the Pledge into the Gorge of the Eternal Depth which nothing usually escapes from, Laval then asks him how the Pledge ended up in the Outlands but Plovar doesn't answer as he says he is late for a very important appointment and leaves for the Crocodile Swamp.
At the Crocodile Swamp, Lagravis is in chains in front of Cragger who asks him what he has to say for himself and Lagravis asks what happened between him and Laval this time? As he saved him at the Forever Rock with the Golden CHI, Cragger says that the only thing Laval saved him from was him achieving his true destiny, he then sends Lagravis to the dungeons while the Crocodiles are preparing their weapons. Plovar then spots Lagravis in the dungeons and goes to tell Cragger about the Pledge of the Pack but Cragger then attacks Plovar causing him to flee pledging to never come peck his teeth again, Lagravis is then locked up when he hears Crooler sobbing and asks her what's going on and why this is happening. Crooler explains; in the beginning, there were two eggs, her and Cragger, she was always the first at everything including birth, and Cragger was always in the way, but when Cragger's egg fell onto the ground Crunket came to pick him up while ignoring Crooler, she was so worried that Cragger was lost but he wasn't and the attention went to him, she tried to tell them she was first but they just wouldn't listen and that explains why everything has happened the way it did.
At the Fangs, Laval and Skinnet noticed the Pledge has new writing added to it and wonder who wrote it while in the Outlands, Skinnet however licks the sap on the Pledge and goes crazy, Laval says that the plants there are notoriously poisonous, Plovar then shows up again and Laval tries to get him to leave again, he does but not before telling Laval that Cragger has his father captured, Laval then chases after Plovar wanting to know more, he then vows to rescue his father alone since he is still technically in exile and no one is supposed to talk to him. Laval then arrives at the Crocodile Fortress with Skinnet who is trying to get more of the sap from the Outlands, Laval says no as that will give them away but then gets an idea, he decides to give Skinnet the rest of the sap on the Pledge giving him a distraction so he can get his stuff, he does but is spotted by the Crocs and makes his way into the Fortress and uses Chip to hit the lever and close the gates but not before Crawley and Crug get inside.
Laval makes it to the Throne Room and snatches a guard's CHI using it to take out the Crocs, Cragger then orders them to stop and Laval offers to make a deal with Cragger, when he asks Laval what he could possibly give him, he pulls out the Pledge of the Pack which surprises Cragger as he points out nothing escapes the gorge and still blames Laval for letting his parents fall in, but Laval gives him hope as he shows the new string of text Crunket and Crominus left which says "Make us proud, Miracle baby". This causes Cragger to regain control to a brief moment and Laval tells him that he parents are alive and got out of the gorge somehow, but Cragger's eyes go back to red and he shuts Laval up by saying he will just give him Lagravis and nothing else while Laval gives him what he believes is hope that Crominus and Crunket are alive.
With Lagravis free, he thanks for Laval for coming and is impressed that a few words on the Pledge of the Pack was what made Cragger free him, but Laval reminds him that he is still technically in exile and that he isn't supposed to speak to him, but Lagravis tells him off with that nonsense and tells Laval that the Lions need him a lot more than they need the rules and pleads for Laval to come back, he tries to back down but Lagravis tells him that Cragger is planning an attack and that with the Pledge, he has control over the Wolves again and it will make him more powerful, he then asks Laval if the rules really matter this time, Laval quotes his father by saying that "without rules we are nothing" but Lagravis replies that they are even less without Laval, so he agrees to help fight against the Crocs but still plans to be in exile after that.
The two Lions then return home to the Lion Temple with Eris perched at the top of the steps who flies down to Laval and is very happy he is back while Lagravis looks at them with the biggest smile on his face.
