Overview
The Grand Inquisitor of Umbrasilvis is an undercover Loyalist deployed into Umbrasilvis to look for the Tree of Burdens alongside Johnny Courageous.

Background[]
The Grand Inquisitor lived in the Kingdom of Imperium during the reign of Empress Beatrix and was among the Imperians who remained loyal to her after the Liberation of Imperium despite her murder of her father, cruelty towards dragons, outsiders, and her own people, and near destruction of the Merged Lands. He at some point joined a society of Imperians still loyal to her dedicated to help her reclaim the former kingdom known as the Loyalists. Several Loyalists were tasked with going undercover across the Merged Realms and the Grand Inquisitor was assigned to Umbrasilvis where he took on the role of leader of the village.

Tonight We Hunt Monsters[]
The Grand Inquisitor attended a meeting with other Loyalists via hologram where he informed the Chief Loyalist of what he believed to be promising readings in the Quest for Desolation and was ordered by her to keep her informed of any uncovered data.
Following the Mutation Monster's capture, the Grand Inquisitor reached out to the Chief Loyalist to inform her of the creature's containment.
Seed and Soil[]
After the Mutation Monster's disappearance, the Grand Inquisitor reached out to the Chief Loyalist. He informed her about how the creature behaved and sent her the location of the Weapon of Desolation.
Just Under the Surface[]
After the Mutation Monster's attack, the Grand Inquisitor arrived with his royal court, saying that the Explorer's Club will not leave Umbrasilvis. Then saying that nothing comes good from the outsiders and Umbrasilvis will be in lock down until the brigand who released the Mutation Monster is found and punished. Despite Sora saying they need to go back Ninjago, the Grand Inquisitor interrupts her and says until someone is punished no one is going to leave, at which the Umbrasilvans cheered.
The Grand Inquisition[]
The Grand Inquisitor tells all of the people of Umbrasilvis, the Explorers Club, Frak, Sora, Wyldfyre, and Riyu, that Umbrasilvis is under lockdown until he discovers who released the monster and that whoever it is will be punished by a life sentence in the Restraints of Excruciation. Frak then asks him why everyone is shaking sticks, so he tells Frak that they are Ancient Wagging Sticks and it is how people express themselves in court. The Grand Inquisitor then begins the Inquisition.
First, the Grand Inquisitor started judging Sora, asking questions like if she is an outsider, questioning if she is lying or not. Then, he started judging Frak by asking is a fountain a suspicious way to enter a city. When Frak said they didn't come to their fountain by their choice, the Grand Inquisitor thought he came here under orders, despite Frak denying it. After that, he started judging Wyldfyre by asking if it's true that she is known for how much she likes to fight and if people describe her as "thriving on chaos," in which Wyldfyre says yes. The Grand Inquisitor then asked if this chaos kind of chaos that might result releasing a monster, only for Wyldfyre to ask if she can wear his tall hat, which shocked and made the Grand Inquisitor angry. Then he told one of his advisors to record that this witness disrespected the "Mantle of Righteousness", saying that he thinks it's obvious who is the culprit. When Freya came to the court and said Wyldfyre was with the dragon, the Grand Inquisitor started judging her. In the court, Freya said Wyldfyre was in her windmill with Riyu all night and she couldn't release the monster. When the Grand Inquisitor asked about Frak and Sora, Freya said they were there almost all night. Which the Grand Inquisitor asked she can't account about their whereabouts every moment, noting that it's interesting. Then, he started judging Reginald Slitherbottom. Reginald showed him the logbook that the members of the Explorer's Club have to log their comings and goings on the Expanding Frontier and saying that the each of the members was accounted for last night as the Grand Inquisitor started looking on the book. When Sora said those entries can be faked, the Grand Inquisitor said it's nonsense and the records are immaculate. When the Grand Inquisitor asked if the ninja appear anywhere in the logbook and can he vouch for any of the ninja, Reginald said no for both of the questions. Then, the Grand Inquisitor started judging Sora and Frak together by asking about their whereabouts. Which Sora said they were only there for the cure for Riyu. Which made the Grand Inquisitor ask that they don't appear in the logbook, Frak said they didn't even know about the logbook, much to Umbrasilvans booing and Reginald disappointment. Which made the Grand Inquisitor think they snuck into the ship, violated its regulations and released a monster on innocent people. Because of this, Sora got angry and kicked the box she and Frak were in, saying that's what not happened. The Grand Inquisitor said they will bring the additional facts together and wanted his guards to bring the shame boards. When Sora asked if these are necessary, the Grand Inquisitor said it is and he will know if the signs are removed, which an act like this would result in a guilty verdict. Then he said the Inquisition is in recess and left with his guards.
When the Grand Inquisitor resumed the Inquisition, he noticed the absence of Sora and Frak, which led him to believe that was sufficient evidence to declare them guilty. Just as he was about to make his pronouncement, Sora, accompanied by the other ninja, interrupted him, asserting that the culprit was Johnny Courageous and presenting the red fragment of the Weapon of Desolation. This revelation prompted the Grand Inquisitor to declare Johnny guilty, exonerating Sora and Frak, lifting the lockdown, and concluding the Inquisition, all while hinting that Johnny should take his cane. However, the Grand Inquisitor then dropped his facade, shocking both the Umbrasilvans and the ninja by stating that the only remaining task was to deliver the fragment to Beatrix. He revealed himself as a Loyalist working undercover alongside Johnny, dismissing the Umbrasilvans with disdain and proclaiming himself a part of the future, not the past. As the ninja charged toward them, Johnny activated a button on the Inquisitor's cane, releasing smoke that allowed both of them to escape with the Expanding Frontier.
Dying to Live[]
The Grand Inquisitor arrived to the Loyalist hideout with two other Loyalists and the red fragment of the Weapon of Desolation. Cole made fun of his hat, only to realize he has the fragment. As the Grand Inquisitor was giving the fragment and saying he acquired it, Dr. LaRow shut him up and told him to cut the formalities.

Upon their arrival at the City of Imperium, Frak said for a second he thought they would never find where the Grand Inquisitor and Johnny were heading to, only for Sora to counter that it was quite evident after hearing the name Beatrix. Later, Sora elaborated on the Grand Inquisitor's peculiarities, mentioning how he had made her wear a shame board and highlighting his distinctive hat.
