Fired Up!

Fired Up! is the sixth episode of the third season of Legends of Chima and the 32nd episode overall.

Plot

Plot[]

The tribes of Chima are on the battlefield with the Ice Hunters in The Fangs and are overwhelming, they are able to defeat several Saber-Tooth Tigers, Mammoths and Vultures, Fangar says he and his army will never retreat, never surrender, never give up, but after more and more relentless fire power from the tribes of Chima, they are able to knock Fangar and his army back down to the Gorge of Eternal Depth and note how easy that was, they then say they must now go to the Ice Fortress and take that out next. Down in the Gorge, there is black Ice that the Hunters land on as it appears to be made from tar, Mottrot gets stuck inside a pit of tar when he came up with the idea, Fangar overhears the tribes of Chima planning to get more CHI orbs and also that they are going to attack the Ice Fortress, he then has Maula and her Mammoths head to the Gorilla Forest to get this CHI before the tribes of Chima do and tell her to stay along the wall to avoid detection and Fangar leads his troops elsewhere. Laval and the tribes are making their way to the Ice Fortress and get shot at along the way, Cragger suggests to pelt them and melt them as that's what he would do at the Gorge, Laval then says with the help of the Eagle jets they will be able to melt all the Ice in Chima, but Li'Ella comes in on her Speedor and tells them not to do that as they will flood half of Chima if they do that, Laval is excited to see Li'Ella much to Cragger's dismay and Li'Ella says she hates to swim which gets Laval even more excited since he hates swimming too, Cragger then asks why she is here and not guarding the Crescent for Fluminox, he then flies in and says Li'Ella is right, they must melt the Ice with great prudence lest its floodwaters smite Chima, he then demands they come with him to discuss a rather pressing matter to them and Cragger and the others follow.

Dom de la Woosh is on the flower Hilltop talking to his Speedor about getting a gift for his special someone, it's not his mother or a sweetheart but rather the Speedor itself and he starts kissing it, but after a few seconds, he gets frozen by the Ice which Stealthor spots. He heads back down and reports this to Fangar, the latter says he will become a trophy later but for now, they continue their journey to the Gorilla Forest for their CHI. At the Crescent, Eris asks Fluminox what he needs that is so much more important than dealing with the Hunters and he says his son Flinx, he thinks he needs a little inspiration so he wants the tribes to take him with them, he says this is because Flinx has yet to forge his Fire Wings which Flinx tries to spark up but nothing, he says he will grow into them but Fluminox says it's been thousands of years but Flinx says it's no rush. Fluminox then leaves Flinx with Laval, Cragger and Eris so he can get the inspiration he needs to forge his Fire Wings but Cragger isn't too thrilled since he wants to fight but Laval has a better idea, he takes Flinx to G'Loona in the Gorilla Forest asking if she can watch him while they fight the Hunters since it's too dangerous for a little kid, G'Loona is happy to watch him as the other Gorillas are also fighting at the Crescent and she could use the company, she then shows Flinx to the fruit steads and Laval and Eris head back to The Fangs but not before Eris tells Laval that Fluminox wanted his son to go with them instead of leaving him with G'Loona so he can learn from their fight, but Laval says they will do that once they aren't dealing with the Hunters and he thinks that the Hunters won't even want to storm the Gorilla Forest, Eris then finally agrees and they head back just as the Ice is starting to spread to the Gorilla Forest.

Laval and Eris return to The Fangs and Cragger says they are just in time as they were about to scale the Ice Fortress, however they can't get up the hill since it is too slippery and they then get surrounded by the Mammoths, Maula says they have been waiting for them there and Mungus smacks the ground and throws the tribes off balance. Meanwhile, the Saber-Tooths and Vultures make it to the Gorilla Forest as pointed out by Stealthor and he says it appears to be unguarded, Fangar is pleased and says they will get their CHI and build a new base in the forest and says a second mountain of Ice will rise but then a banana peel lands on him. G'Loona and Flinx are up above and Flinx says the Fruit Steads are like giant snacks, G'Loona then says the more you eat the bigger your house gets and points out her bedroom as an example, Flinx then asks what happens when you eat through all the walls and G'Loona says they drop the one home to the ground and eat their way into another and then the old Fruit Stead becomes a seed for a brand new tree, Flinx then eats another fruit piece but points out it is chilled but it's not supposed to be, G'Loona then starts shivering as she feels the sudden cold too, but then Stealthor makes himself known and he jumps into their Fruit Stead but they already got out and G'Loona cuts off the Fruit Stead from the tree and drops Stealthor to the ground, Fangar then orders to open fire as G'Loona and Flinx attempt to flee. Back at The Fangs, Laval says he will deal with Mungus while Cragger deals with the rest, however, Mungus is able to overwhelm Laval and throw him out of his tank and tips it over, he then calls out for some Fire CHI and Cragger throws him an orb but Mungus knocks it out of his hands forcing Laval to fight without it. Fangar at the Gorilla Forest then orders to find G'Loona and Flinx, freeze them and bring them to him as trophies, G'Loona and Flinx are sitting on a tree branch and it's learned that Flinx can't freeze, he has heat to spare, that gives them the idea to drop icicles onto the Hunters trying to climb to them and then the two climb up the tree when VoomVoom and Vornon try to catch them but G'Loona and Flinx defeat them by VoomVoom falling to the ground and Vornon being flung away, G'Loona and Flinx then high five as they watch the Hunters fail in trying to capture them.

At The Fangs, Mungus is about to finish off Laval and Cragger but Mungus gets his foot trapped in the Ice wall behind him and he starts crying when Maula tries to get him out, Mottrot then comes running in to help them, they ask Laval and Cragger if they can use their Fire CHI to free Mungus but this leads to Laval and Cragger having a little argument of whether or not to help them or not, Cragger doesn't want to since the Mammoths are responsible for kidnapping his family and his tribe, but Laval tells him that even with that, it's the right thing to do as heroes of Chima, he then makes a deal with Maula that if he frees her Mungus, then they must retreat the second he is freed, Cragger lets Laval do this but then says he wants to find his Crocodiles and so Laval plugs in a Fire CHI orb and melts the Ice around Mungus' foot, Maula thanks Laval for saving her baby and she orders the Mammoths to retreat, Mottrot tells Maula that is was his idea to free Mungus with the Fire CHI but Maula says it doesn't matter as the retreat is pointless since the real fight in at the Gorilla Forest which frightens Laval since Flinx is there. Meanwhile, G'Loona and Flinx are doing fine and they skate their way to the Fruit Stead where the CHI is and Fangar notes that they appear to be children and that Flinx doesn't freeze making Fangar see that he is a Phoenix child and goes to the Fruit Stead then picks up a CHI orb and says to his Hunters to arise as they found their CHI and a more valuable trophy, Flinx, the Phoenix child and says to not let him escape, Fangar then eats the CHI orb and powers up, Flinx says it was safer higher up but G'Loona says they are fine as she points to the dead tree they call the Bummer Tree, she tells Flinx to say "TIMBER!" when she gives the signal, she pulls on the rope she has and it breaks off the support for the tree and it falls onto the Hunters as Flinx shouts "TIMBER!". Fangar then says this effort was futile as nothing escapes their freeze but as the ground freezes back up, the Bummer tree begins to slide down the sloped terrain causing the Hunters to flee and run away so they don't get squashed.

Laval and Eris then make it to the Gorilla Forest just in time to witness the Hunters defeat after Laval's thinks they were too late, they see the giant tree that is sliding towards the Hunters forcing them away, they then land in the Gorilla Forest next to the fallen Fruit Stead and asks if G'Loona and Flinx are okay to which they appear and say they were just fine, Eris then tells Laval he needs to be more careful when watching over Flinx but he says he knows but Flinx probably still learned something he hopes and asks him if he did learn anything and Flinx shows them that he learned how to high five, he gives one to G'Loona and the two side bumps and call each other dude as they along with Laval and Eris laugh while saying dude to each other as the Ice in the Gorilla Forest melts thanks to Flinx.

  • It is show that the Fire Valious can shoot fire beams from the plasma inside the blade.
  • Mottrot getting stuck in tar may be a reference to the La Brea tar pits, a fossil formation in which mammoths stuck in tar are commonplace.
  • This episode shares its name with a comic from the activity book Gorillas & Ravens and with a story from The New Adventures of Ninjago.
