Cool and Collected

Cool and Collected is the seventh episode of the third season of Legends of Chima and the 33rd episode overall.

Plot

Plot[]

The Mammoths are marching back to The Fangs and the Gorge of Eternal Depth when Cragger is spying on them from behind, however, Plovar then shows up and nearly wrecks Cragger's attempt to learn where the Mammoths are going, when he pops back up from the bush, the Mammoths are gone and he wonders where they went. Meanwhile, Laval is riding atop Eris' jet with Flinx with them and Eris is scolding Laval for leaving him with the Gorillas to which Laval says he apologized several times, however Flinx tries to lift Eris' mood by saying he had a great time with the Gorillas and says the Ice Hunters won't ever try to kidnap him ever again, but at the Ice Fortress, Fangar is discussing that exact thing with Stealthor and Vardy but also mentions they need to get their CHI again, then inside their fortress, Fangar enters a secret room that Vardy wants to know about, but Stealthor tells him that all he needs to know is that Fangar uses that secret room for something he doesn't need to know yet. Back with Cragger, he and Plovar make it to the Gorge of Eternal Depth and Cragger thinks something is down there and Plovar reminds him that nothing escapes the Gorge but also remembers that Cragger's parents got out of there, along with the Pledge of the Pack, the Scorpions, Spiders and Bats and pretty much everything that fell down there, the two of them then jump down into the Gorge and Cragger discovers that the Mammoths use the Gorge as a secret passageway to get to and from the different areas in Chima, but he makes himself known when he is being too loud and alerts the Mammoths to his presence, they use their CHI orbs to power up and then Cragger uses a Fire CHI orb to fight as well but because of the heat from the Fire CHI, it melts the black Ice he is standing on and he falls through it, but Plovar is able to pick Cragger up by the tail and fly themselves out of the Gorge, Plovar then brags to Cragger that he saved him and says that every pecking many sets of teeth, it strengthened his beak muscles which allows him to pick things up that are 50 times his weight, after this, Cragger then gets up and says he has to warn the other tribes about the Mammoths using the Gorge of Eternal Depth but Plovar tells him he needs to rest instead.

Fangar is currently searching for Flinx when he first spots Skinnet in his telescope but then pans to the Crescent and he spots Flinx there and he says he found him to someone in the room with him. The Hunters meanwhile, are going through Chima underground trying to find Flinx as well, at the Crescent, Laval and Li'Ella are having a friendly conversation while Eris is watching Flinx making sure he doesn't hurt himself, he is then chasing after a Butterfly when the Hunters below hear him, Stealthor checks it out and he then has the Hunters grab him but it turns out they grabbed Skinnet instead in which he lets out a skunk spray freeing himself but also chases the Hunters away mocking them by saying it was a great idea to tell him to skunk up their underground tunnels and runs off. Fangar then sees that Flinx is still not captured and gets frustrated, meanwhile, the Hunters are still trying to the Phoenix child, they freeze some Beavers thinking it's him but nothing, the Vultures then head to the Bear Caves but still no child but say Bears are close enough so they CHI up and wait for them to wake up. Foltrax, Frax and Firox are flying their Flying Temple through Chima as they head to the Crescent to get Flinx, meanwhile, at the Crescent, Li'Ella notes that there are probably a lot of cute Lion boys at the Lion City which Laval takes as a sign that Li'Ella thinks he is cute and says he is the perfect Lion to show her around the Lion City to which she agrees to, but then, Eris sees what appears to be a Panther running away from the Crescent, she tries to get Laval and Li'Ella to see it but because angered by their flirting with each other and goes down to the Panther herself, but the Panther disappears and she sees what appears to be Mount Cavora falling from the sky crushing the Lion City but she soon awakes as it was just another vision, Laval, Li'Ella and Flinx run over to check on her as Laval says he heard her screaming and asks her what happened to which she tries telling them about the Panther and Mount Cavora falling but Fluminox and the Flying Temple arrive before she can finish.

The Flying Temple then lands and Flinx goes to hug Fluminox and says he missed him but then Fluminox brings them inside to discuss this new matter they discovered, Eris then asks Fluminox why he sent her the vision featuring the Panther but he says this wasn't his doing and Tormak buts in saying that they don't know about the Panther but Fluminox says he will think on it, but he then shows them what he came there to discuss. He shows them the Artifact and on one side is the mainland of Chima but the other side shows the tunnels under Chima, he says the Hunters have been using these tunnels to spread attacks all over Chima for years and are doing it again now, Fluminox then says that Tormak is a Tunnel Cat, the only warriors of the old brave enough to fight the Hunters in their caves. Tormak then says the caves are cold and are cruel and their worst enemies came from their as he knows about it, Fluminox then says there is no glory in the savagery inflicted below but such exploits have left Tormak attuned to the caves and Tormak says he knows the Hunters run free in these tunnels again as he can feel it. Eris then asks where the tunnels lead to and Fluminox says everywhere in Chima including the Lion Temple itself and says they will need assistance to protect Chima and so the Legend Beasts return and Laval says once again that the Legend Beasts have arrived when they need them most and they set off. Each Legend Beast is being sent to their respective tribes, while Laval is escorting his Lion Legend Beast to the Lion City, Flinx wants to have a little fun but Eris is against it as they have a mission to do, but she relents and let's them have fun but to not get too hurt, and so they make a jump off a ramp and make it to the Lion Temple but Fangar is watching them from the Ice Fortress and calls it desperate to call on the Legend Beasts and so he goes to do something about it.

Laval then delivers the Lion Legend Beast to the Lion Temple and Lagravis points out the name Laval made up, Laval says not to worry about that but Lagravis is still trying to process all the new stuff, floating islands, secret tunnels but Laval tells him not to worry about those old legends and to believe in them, his family, his tribe, his new friends, and says they are the new Legends of Chima. Each tribe in Chima then receive their respective Legend Beasts including the Eagles, Gorillas, Ravens, Wolves and Rhinos to which Rogon greets his Legend Beast and his lover Eris and brings up his increased intelligence thanks to the Rhino, which Eris is aware that the Rhino makes them smarter but Rukus says it's not merely smarter but brilliant. The Vultures are still on top of the Bears when Laval and Flinx deliver the Bear Legend Beast to them and Vornon and VoomVoom ask if they attack now but Vardy tells them to wait a bit longer, Fangar meanwhile is still watching for Flinx when he spots him at the Crocodile Swamp with Laval delivering the Crocodile Legend Beast to them which pleases him once more. Crooler then spots Laval and Flinx and the latter points out that the Legend Beast is there to protect her tribe but Crooler says it's a little late for that as the only ones left are herself, Crug and Cragger, the third of which spots them and swims over to them and sees the Crocodile Legend Beast, Cragger tells them he's been meaning to talk to them all day about the underground tunnels but Laval tells him they already know and that's why Fluminox gave them Legend Beasts, however, as they are talking, the Ice is starting to leak into the Crocodile Swamp again which Fangar spots and is happy about, the Vultures then show up but are scared off by the Legend Beast but then Maula, Mottrot and Mungus show up on the other side and they CHI up as Laval and Cragger do as well and they start to fight, the two get knocked back but get up and continue fighting, after a quick fight and a little cloud of frost, Mottrot grabs what he thinks is Flinx and they head back to the Ice Fortress, they deliver what they have to Fangar but it turns out to be Plovar instead, Mottrot tries to blame his mother by saying she said to grab the little bird and there was fire around them so he grabbed what he thought was the Phoenix child but Fangar just knocks Plovar out of his hands angry with the Mammoths.

Laval then loses sight of Flinx but he finds him in a bush and Flinx tells him that he saw Plovar get taken so he got mad and tried to stop it when he felt a spark coming from his wings which Laval congratulates him on but tells him he needs to tell them where is he next time, Laval then runs to Cragger and apologizes for Plovar being taken and Cragger tries to use a stick to clean his teeth but says it's not the same and he admits to himself that Plovar did save his life and now he is going to save Plovar's life as he goes to find him. At the Ice Fortress, Fangar is angry at his Hunters for failing again and says his collection won't be complete without Flinx for it is not enough to dominate Chima and he says he must retrieve Flinx while his trophies watch.

  • This is the first episode where Eris has her vision of Panthar and the destruction of Mount Cavora.
