The Bone Weapons are are weapons used by the Greenbone Warriors. A set of five magical versions of these weapons was able to free the Bone King from prison.[1]
History
History[]
Background[]
The Bone Weapons were created as the weaponry of the Greenbone Warriors. However, each type of weapon possessed a unique variant, concealed in various places throughout Ninjago. The special weapons were able to free the Bone King from his mystical prison beneath the Sea of Sand.
Desert of the Bone[]
Following the Final prophecy of Quanish the Elder, the Ninja were training in a cave inside the Sea of Sand when they accidentally stumbled upon the prison of the Bone King. The King then dispatched his warriors to seek out the Bone Weapons to release him from his prison.
Not long after, the Bone Sword and Bone Mattocks were retrieved by the Greenbone Warriors from a warehouse near the Sea of Sand.
Spiders of the Sea[]
The Crossed bones were retrieved by the Greenbone Warriors from a temple hidden beneath the Endless Sea.
Into the Forest[]
A group of Greenbone Warriors sought out the Bone shurikens inside a bamboo forest. Although they determined the correct hiding spot as a singular glade where the wind could not reach, these warriors were ambushed and defeated by the ninja who then began looking for the shurikens themselves.
After some searching, Lloyd found the hiding spot of the shurikens but the ninja were soon ambushed by the Greenbone Warriors who captured the Bone Shurikens and escaped.
Volcano Adventure[]
With one bone weapon left to find, the ninja traversed to a volcano where the Greenbone Warriors have already dug up the Bone Daggers. After failing to stop the warriors from escaping, the Greenbone Warriors returned to their King's lair and united all five Bone Weapons before him. Utilizing the energies of the five weapons, the Bone King freed himself from his prison.
Rise of the Bone King[]
Released from his prison, the Bone King and his forces began their assault on Ninjago City, with the King carrying all five Bone Weapons during the assault. Meanwhile, Jay was sent to the Ninjago City Library to look for information surrounding the Bone Weapons. There, Jay discovered that the energies of the weapons were responsible for allowing the Bone King to roam free, and that if he were to be relieved of the weapons, he and his army would be banished back into their mystical prison.
Armed with this information, the ninja staged an ambush on the Bone King, with each ninja fighting to relieve him of one of the Bone Weapons. Once all five weapons were separated from the King, a portal opened in the sky and transported him and his army back into their prison. The Bone Weapons were then gathered up by the ninja and subsequently destroyed by Cole.
