• The comic book presumable takes place between "To Become a Monster" and "Fallen Master," due to Kai mentioning his talk with Daidan and him realizing that he can make friends and allies in the Land of Monsters, indicating that he hadn't met Rusty yet.
• The first line of the comic is a reference to the first half of Psalm 23:4, "though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me."
• The Great Volcano is mentioned to have erupted hundreds of million years ago, however, the term "million years" hasn't been used before in the franchise, although it is possible that the time-frame of its eruption is being hyperbolic, similar to the term "eons" being used in Dragons Rising.
• Some members of the LEGO Ambassador Network received a physical version of the comic.^{[citation needed]}
