- There are several inconsistencies that makes this comic non-canon:
- Laval decides to stay in the Outlands to take Lavertus' place, even though in the show, he immediately goes back to the Lion Temple after the Quest for the Legend Beast.
- Spiders are shown stuck in a quicksand that is in a dessert, even though it should be at the Scorpion Cave.
- At the end of the comic, the Hunters are shown to be approaching to Chima, even though they don't start approaching Chima until "Fire Dreaming".
