Overview
The Source Dragon acolytes[2] are the community of monks that honor and worship the Source Dragons. At some point after Thunderfang's attack on the City of Temples, some of them stayed behind in the First Realm.[1]

The Missing (flashback)[]
After getting denied as a Source Dragon, Thunderfang attacked the City of Temples and the Source Dragon acolytes for revenge, only to be defeated by the Arc Dragon of Focus.
After the attack, numerous acolytes stayed in the First Realm after the City of Temples shifted realms, eventually evolving into the Dragon Hunters over the coming centuries.[1]
Dragons Rising, Season 4[]
The Whispering Wood[]
Two acolytes were cleaning the Shrine of the Seven Sources until the Chief Loyalist's arrival. The older acolyte asked if she came to the Shrine to praise the Source Dragons, Chief Loyalist asked if they saw any anomalies, which confused the older acolyte. After the Chief Loyalist scoffs the young acolyte, she says she is looking for a sign of power distribution, only for a sphere in the Shrine to fall. Which shocks the acolytes. The older acolyte tries to fudge situation, saying that this outage is temporary, only for the other two spheres to fall, which causes a Source Energy distribution. The acolytes soon discovered that half of the remaining Source Dragons had withdrawn their energy from the Merged Lands, lamenting their abandonment of mortals. From the Shrine, an Acid Monster and an Earth Monster emerged. Together, they attack the acolytes as the Chief Loyalist leaved. The young acolyte tries to run towards the Chief Loyalist, only to fall and get grabbed by the Earth Monster.
It is unknown what happened to the two acolytes after Elemental Monsters left the Shrine of the Seven Sources.

- Their robes are a recolored version of the design for the Writers of Destiny.
- Following their introduction, the character model was reused on various background characters, such as a monk visiting Djinjago in "Fallen Wishes", some of the inhabitants of Abracalabria and an inhabitant of the Community of Lee.
