The Whispering Wood[]

After the Source Dragons of Focus, Life, and Strength left the Council of Sources, two Elemental Monsters conjured by the Weapon of Desolation emerged from the Sanctuary of the Seven Sources, one of which was an Acid Monster, which was created when the disrupted Source Energy mingled with the water pooled at the altar, transforming it into a corrosive acid. As the Acid Monster took form, it was soon joined by an Earth Monster, and together, they attacked two Source Dragon acolytes as the Chief Loyalist watched.

Eventually, the Acid and Earth Monsters attacked a few Acona. However, Lloyd, Arin, and Euphrasia arrived just in time. As the Acid Monster unleashed a torrent of acid towards Arin, he swiftly countered with his Spinjitzu, successfully deflecting the attack. However, the Acid Monster quickly turned its attention back to the Acona, prompting Euphrasia to leap into action and protect them. Meanwhile, as the Acid and Earth Monsters closed in on Lloyd, Arin attempted to use Object Spinjitzu by hurling a stick infused with his Spinjitzu energy at the Acid Monster, but the creature's acidic belly dissolved the stick upon contact. Euphrasia also tried to shoot arrows at the Acid Monster, only to see them disintegrate as they struck. After the Earth Monster immobilized Lloyd, the Acid Monster joined it in preparing to attack Arin and Euphrasia. However, after being fueled by Life from a Tree of Life, Lloyd broke free. This allowed both him and Euphrasia to regain control of their Elemental Powers. Euphrasia then unleashed her Wind abilities on the Acid Monster, ultimately defeating it and reducing it to its energy state.

Tonight We Hunt Monsters[]

While Lloyd is meditating to find the Temple of the Green Ninja, a couple Source energy beams start appearing. The beams materialize into an Acid Monster along with two Earth Monsters and a Mutation Monster. The Acid Monster started shooting acid at the ninja. Then, it cornered them alongside the other Elemental Monsters.

Dying to Live[]

During the night, some Elemental Monsters attacked the Whispering Wood, including an Acid Monster. The Acid Monster teleported to Zane's back and spat out acid, only for Euphrasia to lift the Nindroid with Wind. Then, it cornered them alongside the other Elemental Monsters.

Abilities[]

Water Embodiment - Acid Monsters embody a corrupted form of the Elemental Power of Water.
Acidokinesis - Acid Monsters can manipulate a corrupted version of Water that manifests as acid.
- Acidogenesis - Acid Monsters can generate acid.
- Acidokinetic Attacks - Acid Monsters can attack with acid.
  - Acidokinetic Breath - Acid Monsters can shoot acid from their mouths.
    - Acidokinetic Saliva - Acid Monsters can also release acid from their mouths as saliva.
  - Acidokinetic Ball Projection - Acid Monsters can shoot balls of acid.
  - Acidokinetic Beam Emission - Acid Monsters can shoot concentrated beams of acid.
- Acidokinetic Underbelly - Acid Monsters' underbellies are seemingly made of acid, causing anything that hits them to dissolve.
- Melting - Acid Monsters' acid can liquify solid objects and matter like wood on contact within a split second.
- Acidokinetic Immunity - Acid Monsters appear to be immune to acid as one emerged from the acid pool that it was created from without any damage.
Prehensile Tail - The tails of Acid Monsters function as an additional limb which they can use like an arm.
Forked Tongue - Acid Monsters have forked tongues, much like snakes.
Superhuman Strength - Acid Monsters are incredibly strong, being able to pick up and throw humans and heavy objects.
Superhuman Durability - The bodies of Acid Monsters are incredibly durable, being able to survive both blunt force and sharp attacks with little to no damage.
Absolute Immortality - Like other Elemental Monsters, Acid Monsters can't be truly killed. When their physical forms are destroyed, they revert to the Source Energy that the Weapon of Desolation used to bring them into existence and reform as long as the weapon remains active.
Concept Empowerment - Like other Elemental Monsters, Acid Monsters enter an empowered state if exposed to the unstable Source Energy in the Weapon of Desolation.
- Combat Augmentation - Like other Elemental Monsters, the combat capabilities of Acid Monsters are increased in their empowered state.
  - Strength Augmentation - Like other Elemental Monsters, Acid Monsters are significantly stronger in their empowered state.
  - Defense Augmentation - Like other Elemental Monsters, Acid Monsters are significantly more durable in their empowered state.
Conceptuportation - Like other Elemental Monsters, Acid Monsters can teleport by scattering into beams or bolts of Source Energy and reforming in different locations.

Trivia[]

Their appearance resembles Anacondrai. However, Acid Monsters aren't Serpentine.
In a set interview, the Acid Monsters were referred to as "Acid Snakes,"^[1] while concept art labeled them as "Acid Water Monsters."^[2]
