History[]

The Whispering Wood[]

After the Source Dragons of Focus, Life, and Strength left the Council of Sources, the disruption caused at the Shrine of the Seven Sources led to a mix of Source Energy with the earth, resulting in the creation of asphalt. The asphalt gave rise to an Earth Monster, which was soon accompanied by an Acid Monster. Together, they attacked the Source Dragon acolytes as the Chief Loyalist watched. As the Chief Loyalist leaved, one of the acolytes tried to run towards her. Only to fall and get grabbed by the Earth Monster.

After Lloyd, Arin, and Euphrasia followed the whispers, they saw the Earth and Acid Monsters attacking some Acona. Lloyd tried to attack the Earth Monster, only for it to dodge and trap him in asphalt, causing the Green Ninja to realize that these monsters are made out of Elemental Powers. After Lloyd got rid of the asphalt, he tried to attack again, only for the Earth Monster to shoot asphalt at him once more and stick him to a tree. However, thanks to a power boost from the Life Source Energy in the trees, Lloyd got his powers back alongside Euphrasia, defeating both Monsters and reverting them to their energy forms.

Tonight We Hunt Monsters[]

While Lloyd is meditating to find the Temple of the Green Ninja, a couple of energy beams start appearing, which are revealed to be two Earth Monsters alongside an Acid and Mutation Monster. The Earth Monsters start firing asphalt at the ninja. Then, they corner them alongside the other Elemental Monsters.

During the night, some Elemental Monsters attacked the Whispering Wood, including an Earth Monster. The Earth Monster shot asphalt at the ninja, only for Arin to dodge the attack and kick the monster. Then, it cornered the ninja and Euphrasia alongside the other Elemental Monsters.

Abilities[]

• Earth Embodiment - Earth Monsters embody a corrupted form of the Elemental Power of Earth.
• Asphakinesis - Earth Monsters can manipulate a corrupted version of Earth that manifests as asphalt.
  • Asphagenesis - Earth Monsters are able to generate asphalt from their pincers.
    • Tar Generation - Earth Monsters are also able to generate tar from their crab-like pincers.
  • Asphalt Mimicry - Earth Monsters can turn their body completely into asphalt to avoid most attacks.
    • Reforming - When Earth Monsters are turned into asphalt, they can reform back into their body shape whenever they are struck directly.
  • Asphakinetic Attacks - Earth Monsters can attack with asphalt.
    • Asphakinetic Imprisonment - Earth Monsters can imprison others in asphalt.
    • Asphakinetic Blasts - Earth Monsters can fire blasts of asphalt from their pincers.
    • Asphakinetic Beam Emission - Earth Monsters can shoot beams of asphalt from their pincers in their empowered state.
• Geokinetic Body - Being created from Earth Elemental energy, Earth Monsters have bodies made entirely of earth.
• Concept Empowerment - If exposed to the unstable Source Energy in the Weapon of Desolation, Earth Monsters can enter an empowered state which grants them increased size, strength, and durability.
  • Combat Augmentation - In their empowered state, Earth Monsters are granted increased combat capabilities.
    • Strength Augmentation - Empowerment by the Weapon of Desolation makes Earth Monsters significantly stronger.
    • Defense Augmentation - Empowerment by the Weapon of Desolation makes Earth Monsters significantly more durable.
  • Size Augmentation - If empowered by the Weapon of Desolation, Earth Monsters get bigger.
    • Limited Shapeshifting - Earth Monsters take on more monstrous forms if empowered by the Weapon of Desolation.
• Absolute Immortality - Like other Elemental Monsters, Earth Monsters are impossible to truly kill. When their physical forms are destroyed, they revert to the Source Energy that the Weapon of Desolation used to bring them into existence and reform as long as the weapon remains active.
• Regeneration - Being made of Elemental Energy, Earth Monsters can instantly regenerate their bodies if destroyed by scattering into bolts of unbalanced Source Energy.
• Conceptuportation - Like other Elemental Monsters, Earth Monsters can teleport by scattering into beams or bolts of Source Energy and reforming in different locations.

• In a set interview, an Earth Monster was referred to as the "Tar Monster."^[2] Additionally, during a LEGO live stream, it was also called the "Rock Monster."^[3]
