Family/tribe[]

Matriarch of the Mountain Dragons (tribe mother, deceased)[]

The Matriarch was the tribe mother of Riyu's tribe, she was responsible of Riyu when he lived within the herd. She was protective toward him and had warned him of the danger of straying from the tribe and approaching humans whom she feared because of the Claws of Imperium. When she understood the ninja were safe for Riyu, she agreed to let him go with them, although she thought that moving away from his family was not careful.

Upon the death of the Matriarch, Riyu was very penned and cried.

Rontu[]

Rontu is Riyu’s students. She tried to train Riyu to do Spinjitzu even though he couldn’t fly yet but their training was interupted. After Egalt passed away, Riyu offered her to stay in the dragon stable under the Monastery of Spinjitzu, what she finally accepted. One of the reasons was that she wanted to complete the training she had started giving Riyu. Thanks to Rontu's teaching, Riyu eventually mastered Spinjitzu.

Friends[]

Sora[]

Sora is a close friend to Riyu. When he first met her when he was a baby, Sora attempted to show compassion towards him by helping him escape the Claws of Imperium, along with Arin, until Riyu ended up giving some his dragon energy to her, which awoke her dormant Technology powers. Riyu continued to willingly offer her his energy for a certain period during which Sora still could not use her power without Riyu's help. After achieving her True Potential, Sora told Riyu about needing to do it on her own. With Arin they quickly formed a trio and they seem to get along very and care very much for each other, Riyu seing them as a second family.

When Riyu grew to a teen he let Sora and Arin rid on his back. They trained together under Rontu's tutelage to learn Spinjitzu and supported each other. Sora was amazed to see him fly while attempting to stop the Ritual of the Blood Moon.

When Arin and Sora left with Ras, Riyu showed signs of sadness and of disappointment to see his two best friends leave and especially with someone like Ras who harmed his species and tribe.

When Sora returned to the monastery weeks later, Riyu jumped on her to express his joy at seeing her again, while still expressing his resentment at her for having left.

Wyldfyre[]

Riyu and Wyldfyre are close friends. They are often together, Riyu notably helped Wyldfyre when she was injured in the leg, by carrying her on his back. They both seem to feel good and comfortable together, Wyldfyre having been raised by dragons and Riyu being a dragon who live with humans. They notably rest together on the same bed in the Tournament of the Sources while Heatwave, Wyldfyre's family, wasn't present.
