The Land Bounty (also known as the Dune Bounty[1]) was one of the ninja's vehicles that P.I.X.A.L. built after the Oni's invasion.
History
History[]
Background[]
Shortly after the end of the Oni's invasion, P.I.X.A.L. had been working on the hangar bay for six months. She also built the Dirt Bike and the ATV during this time. However, the ninja did not notice any construction, due to being lazy during construction.
Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu[]
A Rocky Start[]
The ninja were planning to go to the Desert of Doom on a quest and before they did, P.I.X.A.L. told them about the vehicles she built. After exploring the hangar bay, they took the Land Bounty as well as the Dirt Bike and the ATV into the Desert of Doom but they forgot to take the manual. After some traveling, The ninja parked their vehicles in an oasis where they relaxed until they encountered Beohernie. They tried to escape him, but the beetle ingested a critical engine part that the Land Bounty could not run without it.
The Belly of the Beast[]
Zane got eaten by the Beohernie and retrieved the engine part. This allowed the ninja to outrun him and reach the pyramid.
Ninja vs Lava[]
After P.I.X.A.L. saved the ninja from the pyramid using the ShuriCopter, they used the Land Bounty to ride to Ninjago City and stop Aspheera.
Snaketastrophy[]
The ninja rode their vehicles including the Land Bounty into Ninjago City and saved Fred Finely by defeating an Elemental Cobra which nearly devoured him.
Powerless[]
Along with the Land Bounty, the ninja arrived with their vehicles to save the Police Commissioner and his crew when they were surrounded by Elemental Cobras.
The Explorers Club[]
Inside the Explorer's Club, Shippelton, Smythe, and Underhill were interrupted by Lloyd, Nya, and Zane when the Land Bounty and the ShuriCopter landed outside the building.
After getting the second Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu, Lloyd and Nya climbed aboard the Land Bounty and headed to the Monastery.
Vengeance is Mine![]
On their way to the Monastery, Lloyd opened the Scroll causing him to say that he'll be careful in a demonic tone. After Nya felt worried, Lloyd apologized and placed the Scroll down.
A Cold Goodbye[]
After the ninja defeated Master Wu, they headed inside the Land Bounty while P.I.X.A.L. stood outside to zap the vehicle into the Never-Realm.
The Never-Realm[]
The Bounty landed on an icy cliff and the ninja had to get out before it fell off and was destroyed.
An Unlikely Ally[]
After saving him from the Blizzard Samurai, Red brought Lloyd to the Land Bounty's wreckage, which he used as shelter.
A Fragile Hope[]
While wandering along in an attempt to find it, they managed to find it, and quickly seek shelter from the Frost Wolves. In the process of trying to reboot it, Nya throws out a few components (and Jay's travel pillow), before slamming the consoles in anger until they soon start up, and they immediately drive away.
Once and for All[]
Nya was driving the Bounty to the Ice Emperor's castle when Boreal woke up and chased them down. The Bounty was destroyed after Boreal had ripped parts from it and landed unconscious underneath it.
Awakenings[]
The ninja left the Bounty to regroup, where Nya discovered that Boreal was made entirely of ice. After discussing theories and thoughts, Boreal woke up and attacked them again. When Boreal went after Nya, Cole and Krag teamed up to throw the Bounty at Boreal to distract him, but instead he leaped into the air and tried to freeze them. The Bounty ended up being destroyed, and the ninja and Krag continued on their journey to the Castle of Ice.

Cole had a nightmare about the ninja arriving in the Never-Realm, where Kai, Jay, and Lloyd insisted that he return to the Bounty to fetch the bag of Traveler's Tea since he was the one who lost it. As Cole complied, the Bounty plummeted off the cliff with him still inside.

Trivia
Trivia[]
- The back section of the set form can detach as a small flyer. The vehicle in the show doesn’t exhibit this feature, however, the jets on the flyer section do activate as a booster for the vehicle.
- Interestingly, the segment of the Land Bounty Boreal rips off in "Once and for All" is the exact shape of the flying component of the set, hinting that the render of the vehicle in the show was designed to have the aforementioned feature, but it was never used in the episodes.
- The Character Encyclopedia New Edition mentions that Wu liked to use this vehicle, even though he never used it in the show.
- The sails are very similar to the sails on the Destiny's Bounty used in The LEGO Ninjago Movie and in seasons 8 to 12 of the show.
- The Land Bounty is the first vehicle based on the Destiny's Bounty, but adapted to a specific environment. The second is the Hydro Bounty.
- Chronologically, the Hydro Bounty is the first while the Land Bounty was the second, as it is said that P.I.X.A.L. had been building it on and off since Season 7.
- Unlike the Hydro Bounty, the Land Bounty has a look much more similar to the actual Destiny's Bounty.
- It is similar to the Fortrex from Nexo Knights, as they are both massive rolling bases. Additionally, they are both able to contain other vehicles, and in set form, they both have a detachable aerial vehicle.
- In "The Heartbeat of all the Realms", Jay recalls when Kai accidentally melted the steering wheel of the Land Bounty. However, it’s unknown what point in time this occurred as the original Land Bounty was destroyed in the Never-Realm and Kai didn’t have his element at that time, while the new version was stated to have been built recently in "Monster in the Monastery," suggesting this line is either an error or that there was another version of the Land Bounty used offscreen.
