Explorer's Clubhouse

History

History[]

Prior to Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu[]

Decades ago, a man named Lord Belgrave attempted to enter the club by participating in a Trial By Sphinx, but failed.^[2] Later on, Misako and Clutch Powers became members of the club.

Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu[]

Boobytraps and How to Survive Them[]

When Clutch Powers discovered the pyramid in the Desert of Doom and refused to explore it, Cecil Putnam, the club's manager, called him to say that his club membership had been suspended.

The Explorers Club[]

When Lloyd, Nya, and Zane learned from Clutch Powers that the second Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu is in the club's archives, they immediately went there. Meanwhile, Smythe and Underhill listened to Percy Shippelton's adventures. The ninja wanted to take the scroll, but Cecil Putnam told them that only club members had access to the archive. When Zane unsuccessfully disguised himself as Clutch Powers with his cloak, they decided to break into the club. When they fell into the club's main room and were covered as maintenance workers, club members put on security guards. However, the ninja managed to break into the archive and find a scroll. However, they broke two terrariums with dangerous insects, which attacked the club members after they left.

The Maze of the Sphinx[]

The ninja were walking to a new barbecue shop in Ninjago City when they passed by the Explorer's Club. While Nya was reminiscing about the last time she, Zane, and Lloyd went in, the ninja walked inside and encountered Cecil and the Sphinx out of control, which suddenly shot fire out of its mouth. Nya was able to easily put it out, although she accidentally also messed up Kai's hair. Zane then covered the statue's head with ice. Cecil then deactivated it, mentioning that he would get a technician to repair once the ice melted.

They then walked out of the Explorer's Club to the restaurant, Wu telling a story of his and Garmadon’s encounter with a real Sphinx on the way. Cecil called back angrily from the Explorer's Club noting that they made a mess.

Seabound[]

Riddle of the Sphinx[]

Wu, Kai, Cole, Ray and Misako burst into the Explorer's Club to retrieve the Storm Amulet after learning the one on the Island of the Keepers was a fake. The ninja and Wu then attempt to answer the Sphinx's riddle to enter the club. They then interrogate Clutch Powers for the Storm Amulet. Kalmaar also broke in to acquire the Storm Amulet, and a battle pursued.

Papergirl[]

A battle between half of the ninja team and Kalmaar pursues outside of the club. A hole is broken into the front of the Explorer's Club.

Crossroads' Crosstalk[]

Cursed![]

Lobbo and Kreel went to the Explorer's Clubhouse for the next episode of their podcast, much to Cecil's unwillingness. While they were waiting for their tour guide, Reginald Slitherbottom appeared. Kreel wanted him to move on, but Lobbo realized Reginald could be their tour guide, which was confirmed by him. After introducing himself properly, Reginald took them to the Clubhouse's vault where he showed them various artifacts while also including the fact they were cursed. During the tour, Lobbo decided to play the Flugelhorn of Tomport after hearing Reginald wrong, much to Kreel and Reginald's worries. Kreel shove Lobbo to stop him while also accidentally breaking Vase of the Scarab Queen, releasing the Phantom Scarabs of Dread. In anger, Reginald got them out of the vault, saying that they caused enough while also locking the vault's door behind their back. Then he tried to fight against the scrabs. Lobbo said he feels himself bad, but Kreel said they can't do anything since Reginald shut the door. As they finished the episode, Reginald continued to fight against the scarabs.

Dragons Rising, Season 4[]

Monster in the Monastery[]

To learn how can they dispose the Weapon of Desolation, the ninja went to the Explorer's Clubhouse in the Old Town. However, Cecil did not let them enter the clubhouse until Frak showed his family pass, allowing them to enter the clubhouse and get accompanied by Reginald. Reginald explained them that the only way to dispose an item of cosmic power is to go the Abyss of Eternal Night in the Never Kingdoms. However, he warned them about the dangers of the place and said only the ones that entered the Never Kingdoms prior to the Merge can enter the land.
