This article is about a subject that is relevant to both the main Ninjago storyline and The LEGO Ninjago Movie. Information may be more directed toward one continuity than the other.

Dragon Mechs[1] are robotic dragons known to exist in Ninjago, Prime Empire, and the Land of Lee.

History

History[]

Rebooted[]

The Digital Overlord created the Nindroid MechDragon to achieve his goal of capturing Lloyd and taking his Golden Power.[2]

Hunted[]

The stranded ninja created a mechanical replica of Firstbourne to distract the Dragon Hunters long enough for Jay, Zane, and Kai to escape.[3]

Prime Empire[]

Unagami could transform into the Empire Dragon. In the Maze of the Red Dragon, the ninja also encountered and defeated the Red Dragon,[4] who Jay eventually utilized as the Blue Dragon to combat Unagami.[5]

Dragons Rising, Season 3[]

Lee piloted a Mech Dragon. This was taken control of by Jay using a control implant, which he used to fight the Spectral Dragonians and Zarkt in Mysterium's Cave of Bells.

Dragons Rising, Season 4[]

After realizing that they were trapped within the stomach of a Quealiche, Jay activated the Mech Dragon's self destruct mechanism in order to upset the Quealiche's stomach so that he, Kai, and Nya could escape.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie[]

Lloyd used the Green Ninja Mech Dragon as his ninja vehicle before it was destroyed by Lord Garmadon.

Trivia[]

  • The Firstbourne mech is the only mechanical dragon to be a replica of a real dragon, as the stranded ninja built it based on the real Mother of Dragons of the same name.
