Plot
Plot[]
The Administration agents hollow around the office. Underwood asks Allen if there are any signs of the Spectral Dragonians. Allen denies this, as he explains that they are hard to see. Underwood says that invisibility requires lots of permits, But Allen fears that if they return, then he will bludgeon them with fines.
Suddenly, the Munce agent is panicking, hoping that they would not come back because of what they did to Carl, B, Debra, and the rest of the HQ, But Underwood tells him to be quiet, but then the Munce agent shows her how many souls the Spectral Dragonians they have taken from them. The Munce agent, Allen, and Underwood hear the magic flute, and they bring out their weapons to blast them, only for Underwood, a female agent, and a Merlopian being stripped of their souls. Drix then returns to the Spectral Lands with the Spectral Dragonians, to show that they are now ghosts.
Back in Mysterium, Sora notices that the sun is already setting, assuming that the days are getting shorter, But Arin suggested it was a magical Mysterium thing. He then asks Ras why they are stopping. Ras explains that the dwellers of the Underworld do not appreciate the presence of the living. Arin assumed that the Spectral Lands were where people passed through to what's after its life. He then asks what the Underworld is. Ras says that it is similar, but only disgraced warriors ended up there. He suggests that the only thing that they needed to do was to activate the Forge of the Forgotten. Arin asks if it can bring his parents back. Ras explains that it will create a dragon icon, But Arin already knew that they were going to reverse the merge. They all get on their bikes, and Ras tells Sora to enjoy. But Sora instead starts using her elemental powers to fix his bike. He then leaves Arin and Sora. Arin tells Sora to not make him mad, but then Sora reminds him that he needs them. They then go and follow Ras.
Once they arrive in the Underworld, the passage to it vanishes, and they try to find a way in

Trivia
Trivia[]
- Despite Nya telling Jay ninja don't kill people, she has killed many when she killed the Preeminent and resulted in almost all the inhabitants in Djinjago to die and many Spectral Dragonians are Dragonian Warriors the ninja have killed during part 1 of the season.
Continuity[]
- This episode marks Kruncha's and Nuckal's first physical appearance since "The Greatest Fear of All." This is also their first appearance in the WildBrain animation.
- Kruncha and Nuckal are now the eleventh and twelfth named characters from the original series to appear in Ninjago: Dragons Rising. The other characters are:
- Gulch from Master of the Mountain who appeared in "Wyldly Inappropriate."
- The Mechanic from Skybound who appeared in "The Mech Master."
- Fugi-Dove from Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu who appeared in "The Blood Moon."
- Tox and Mr. Pale from Tournament of Elements who appeared in "Enter the City of Temples."
- Neuro and Chamille from Tournament of Elements who appeared in "The Sword Shatters."
- Morro from Tournament of Elements and mainly Possession who appeared in "The Spectral Lands."
- P.I.X.A.L. from Rebooted who appeared in "The Great Zane Robbery."
- Dareth from Legacy of the Green Ninja who appeared in "Fallen Wishes."
- Kruncha and Nuckal first debuted in the pilot episodes.
- The two Skulkins' collective appearances marks the third instance of villains from the original series returning in Dragons Rising, with the first and second instances being the Mechanic and Morro, respectively.
- While the comic "Special Delivery From Stiix!" suggested that Kruncha and Nuckal were freed from Kryptarium Prison, this was finally confirmed in this episode 9 years later.
- This episode marks the first time the Underworld has appeared in Dragons Rising, as well as the first time it appears in its WildBrain animation. It was last seen in general in "The Kaiju Protocol," but this episode is the first time the Underworld has had new animation for it since "Curseworld, Part II."
- This episode marks the fourth time Garmadon has been mentioned in Ninjago: Dragons Rising. He was first mentioned in "The Temple of the Dragon Cores" and then again in "The Spell at the Waterfall" and then a third time in "Peak of 1000 Suns".
- Additionally, this episode marks the first time Samukai has been mentioned in Ninjago: Dragons Rising when Nuckal tells Arin and Sora that he and Kruncha worked with people similar to Ras.
- Since Chris "Doc" Wyatt once stated that Clouse will be indirectly mentioned in Season 3,[4] it seems that he is also indirectly mentioned by that line, which confirms that Clouse indeed became the leader of Skulkin after the events of the Dark Island Trilogy, but was likely dethroned prior to the events of Dragons Rising, Season 3.
- Arin placing Nuckal's head on Kruncha's body before the two swap heads could be seen as a subtle callback to the animation mishap in "The Invitation" where Kruncha's voice came out of Nuckal and vice versa.
- The way Ras grabs Arin's leg is the same as during their fights near the end of "The Merge: Part 1" and "The Forest of Spirits," although this time Arin uses Spinjitzu and blows the attack back, signifying his growth in strength and strategy during their time together.
- Ras mentions that Arin was a weakling when he found and that he turned him into a warrior, which is similar to what he believes his master did to him, as previously compared in "The Forest of Spirits."
- Chris "Doc" Wyatt confirmed it was the Source Dragon of Energy who allowed Lloyd to eavesdrop on the Council meeting to learn how to awaken the Arc Dragon of Focus.[5]
Errors[]
- When Fritz and Spitz showed the Prismatic Blades to Kai, Fritz was holding the Returning Blade. However, at that moment, the Returning Blade was actually with Arin.
- Despite Sora saying that she did Spinjitzu for the first time, this is actually the second time as she performed it in "The Final Game."[6]
- When Kruncha pushes Nuckal after Nuckal says that he responds to strong leadership, Arin can be briefly seen with bright yellow eyes.[7]
- That same character model would later be used in "Chaos Reigns," when Arin and Lloyd were linked to the Arc Dragon of Focus.
- Although the Source Dragon of Flow is credited, she did not speak in this episode.
