The Battle of the Spectral Lands was a conflict that occurred in the Spectral Lands immediately following the spectral invasions. After finally gathering enough power to become a Source Dragon, Thunderfang aimed to devastate of the Merged Realms with Chaos. He would ultimately be vanquished when the Well of the Lost was destroyed at the end of his fight with the Arc Dragon of Focus, purifying all of those that were hollowed and dispelling the Spectral Dragonians and Forbidden Five.

- The battle against Thunderfang in the Spectral Lands revealed itself as being a double-edged sword for the Ninja. Either if they won or lost, they would endure major consequences. If they had lost, Thunderfang would have become a Source Dragon and force his way into the Council and cause harm to the Sources. However, the Ninja's victory led to the abandonment of three Source Dragons (Strength, Focus, and Life) from the Council, resulting in complications for the Elemental Masters in the use of their powers.
- Additionally, the fact the Ninja left the monastery to fight Thunderfang allowed Ras to invade and take control of the portal gates, not only sending the Ninja to different distant parts of the Merged Realms, but also preventing them from getting back through them.
