The Golden Chi is a variant of Chi that allows the animal to create anything.

Each month, when the Chi Orbs are harvested, one special orb of Golden Chi is produced. Because Golden Chi is highly coveted by the Tribes of Chima, the Lion Tribe organized a monthly race on Chi Day to ensure fair distribution and prevent any imbalance of Chi. The victor of said race earns the Golden Chi for their tribe, with the orb selecting a different contest each month to maintain fairness among the tribes. Centuries later, Dom de la Woosh emerged as a skilled Speedor racer, consistently winning the Chi Day race.[1] After his retirement, Laval and Cragger began competing in these races, with one of them always winning in the Joust of Jungle Judgement, thereby claiming the Golden Chi.[2]

Abilities

Abilities[]

Golden Chi has multiple powers, but only one has truly been shown on screen: The power to change the landscape, this is shown when the Golden Chi creates the Speedor Tracks. A natural rock formation is shown in episode 16, and the Golden Chi has the power to fill in artificial structures, this was shown in episode 11, of note is that this particular orb was no larger than a standard orb.

The control of the Golden Chi may vary between the animals, as shown in A Spark of Hope, the phoenix had an easier time harnessing the Golden Chi, as according to Flinx, their immense power causes the Golden Chi to react quicker.

Golden Chi is unlimited and 50 times more powerful than a regular Chi orb.[3]

  • It is unknown as to whether Golden Chi can be inserted into an animal's chest.
  • Golden Chi seems to only be useful for construction purposes, but it is still more powerful than normal Chi.
  • According to Chris "Doc" Wyatt, there is a special connection between Source Energy and Golden Chi.[4]
