A Tangled Web

A Tangled Web is the second episode of the second season of Legends of Chima and the 22nd episode overall.

Plot

Plot[]

The Black Cloud once more descends onto Mount Cavora and the tribes below use the firepower they have to shoot down the creatures up there, in a Bat Wing Striker, there are able to get into one of the animal mouths on Mount Cavora and head inside gathering up the CHI they can. Lagravis doesn't believe as not only did the Crawlers stop the CHI falls but also stole some of the CHI and orders to shoot them down as they fly away with the CHI in hand, Crunket notes that without enough CHI they can't power their weapons, but they are able to take out a few Strikers and then the Eagles come in to help the take out the Crawlers. Lagravis announces they have succeeded and tells the tribes that Crunket will begin to go out and gather the CHI while they stay back to try and chase off the rest of the creatures.

The other tribes are making their way through the Outlands looking for two of the Legend Beasts listed on Lavertus' map as they are nearby the Predator Plant fields, Cragger points out that he doesn't trust Lavertus and feels like he is hiding something which Eris agrees with but Laval trusts him since he is a Lion, but just then they hear a rumble as the Rock Flinger comes rolling by, taking out the plants and the tribes cheer on but when they realized Rogon is with them, they question who is driving the truck and find out it's apparently just a rock. They then make it to a nearby cliff where in the pit below in the Gorilla Legend Beast trapped in cobwebs and being guarded by the Spiders, but Laval then notices on the other side the Rhino Legend Beast is also trapped and being guarded by the Spiders, Eris feels sorry for Rogon and asks if rocks will make him feel better when he starts acting stranger than usual. Rogon explains that because his Legend Beast is in close proximity to him, it is making him smarter than he would be otherwise, explaining his sudden tone shift.

They then start coming up with a plan to free the Gorilla Legend Beast, their plan is to transform the Rock Flinger into a giant fly so the Spiders will be attracted to it giving them a distraction long enough to free the Gorilla Legend Beast. At the same time Eris is struggling to understand this new smarter Rogon and tells him he usually just smashes rocks when he is in peril, she then says to herself that she misses the old dumber Rogon. When the tribes are finished building, they then check on Rogon interested to see what he is doing to help his Legend Beast, Rogon then realizes that there was no autopilot or anything like that driving his truck earlier and says it was a rock with a face drawn on it, he lifts the blanket on the ground revealing a stowaway; Rinona.

At the Lion Temple, Lagravis tells his troops to steady themselves and save their CHI energy for the Crawlers, they then start opening fire once they appear, the Eagles manage to shoot down the Crawlers causing the CHI to fall into the Crocodile Swamp. Crooler then picks up an orb and says to her mother that this is all put of their plan, but Crunket is unassumed and tells her daughter that their new enemy is powerful and that they should work with the Lions rather than fight against them, just then the Crocodiles, including Crawley and Crug get snatched by the Spiders and Crunket tells Crooler no more talking about fighting the Lions when her daughter is also taken and the Spiders then descend onto her boat taking her as well. In the Outlands, Worriz complains that not only do they have to save the Legend Beasts but also babysit Rinona now, but she bites back saying she saved their butts from the Predator Plants earlier and explains that she was the one driving the Rock Flinger with Rogon was riding outside with the others. Rinona says she came to protect Rogon which gets Eris jealous about their special relationship

Laval then buts in saying they need to get moving so they can save the Legend Beasts, Rogon is tasked on figuring out how to get the Rhino Legend Beast while Rinona drives the redesigned Rock Flinger down to the Spiders to rescue the Gorilla Legend Beast. Eris is then jealous of Rinona for being on the mission and possible compromising her relationship with Rogon who is finishing up his solution to freeing the Rhino Legend Beast. Back at the Crocodile Swamp, Crunket, Crawley and Crug are tied up and are interrogated by the Spiders, Sparacon then shoots through the Crocodile Boat attempting to sink it, but ShadoWind comes in to save the three Crocs from sinking, the Spiders try to web him but he easily counters them by circling around them and then cuts Crunket free and says that she has heard of him and despite not knowing his true identity, she feels she knows him from somewhere but can't place it, then Crawley and Crug ask for her to untie them.

The tribes are successful in making it down to the Gorilla Legend Beast and Laval, Cragger, Worriz and Gorzan start making buzzing sounds to distract the Spiders, Spinlyn then has her tribe go tie up the fly so they can eat it and the Legend Beasts tries to escape but is alerted and the four of them come to help the Beast, Laval then gives Gorzan an orb of CHI so he can save his Legend Beast, while Spinlyn is distracted with making herself up, the Gorilla Legend Beast frees himself and joins Gorzan in fighting the Spiders with Gorzan calling him the Great Mellow. Eris then tells Rogon he needs to free the Rhino Legend Beast now, he does so by pushing the rock beads on his giant abacus all the way to the right, breaking it and causing the rocks to roll down the roll into the barrier where the Rhino Legend Beast is, freeing him as well, Rogon then jumps onto his Legend Beast and joins the fight against the Spiders, Laval then orders everyone back into the fly and they make their way back up and celebrate in their victory over saving the Gorilla and Rhino Legend Beasts, they then notice Eris is missing and Rogon goes down to get her, chasing away the Spiders and freeing her from the cobwebs, Spinlyn sees this and tries to shoot webs at them but misses and the rock autopilot from earlier is catapulted and hits her square in the head breaking one of her teeth.

Meanwhile, back at the Lion Temple, they got their CHI back thanks to Crunket and uses it on their weapons and vehicles and finally chase the Black Cloud away and Crunket thanks ShadoWind for helping her. The tribes then return to Lavertus' Outland Base and are looking for Lavertus to inform him of the two Legend Beasts they have, they are looking for him and discuss needing to know more about him when he sneaks in through the door Eris pointed out and he is startled by them, Laval tells him they brought back two Legend Beasts with them, but Lavertus says he already knows, confusing Cragger as they just got back, Lavertus tells them that he was simply home all day and baked them cookies to get them to stop talking, they start chowing down but Laval admits to Cragger that they should keep an eye on Lavertus just in case. Eris then is outside with Rogon, asking him if he liked the cookies, he says that are good but that they are even better with rocks, confused by this, Rinona shows up and tells her than the Rhino Legend Beast is too far away to heighten Rogon's IQ explaining why he is dumber again, she then asks Eris if she prefers Rogon like this and she admits she does, but Rinona concerns Eris even more saying she likes him that way too, but a mysterious Raven appears in the sky as Rogon keeps eating his rocks.
