The Legend Thief

The Legend Thief is the third episode of the second season of Legends of Chima and the 23rd episode overall.

Plot

Plot[]

When Lavertus wakes everyone up at his base when he notices his stuff was stolen, he tries to figure out who stole his stuff from his secret room and he first blamed Eris for it. Eris defends herself then pointed to Razar who has been known to steal other people's things in the past, but even he says no. Eris then tries to blame Rinona since she is new and is at least to herself; still jealous of her potential relationship with Rogon. Cragger breaks the up argument by saying no one is blaming anyone until they know what was stolen in the first place. Lavertus then goes outside to cool off and says when he gets back either his stuff better be returned to where it was or the heroes are forced to leave. Razar then breaks into the secret room out of curiosity and strangely, sitting in the middle of the room just so appears to be the helmet of ShadoWind. Meanwhile at in the Dungeons of the Crocodile Fortress, Crooler tries to make a deal with the Spiders to let them go without hurting her and wants to steal all the Chi together, but she is interrupted when Plovar flies in to peck her teeth. He explains that since Cragger is off with his friends in the Outlands, he ordered Plovar to peck Crooler's teeth while he was gone. Crooler then demands someone remove Plovar from her mouth when Sparacon, now unchained, grabs the bird from her mouth but then she realizes him and the other Spiders freed themselves and lock her up instead.

At Lavertus' base, he spots the thief that took his stuff and it turns out to be the Raven Legend Beast with a mouthful of the Golden Chi ShadoWind has won. Laval and the others then walk in on Lavertus, who appears to be fixing something and he asks what they want. Laval then gives him the helmet of ShadoWind and he says they figured out he was ShadoWind. Lavertus tries to deny it by saying he didn't know who ShadoWind is and that that must've gotten the helmet elsewhere. Eris then mentions the clothes but he also tries to play it off. The Worriz spots the Darkor Defendor. After a long back and forth, Lavertus comes clean and confirms that yes, he is indeed ShadoWind. He tries to run off but Laval tries to get him to stay by telling him he is their hero, but when Cragger brings up his father, King Crominus, something inside Lavertus snaps and demands they leave. Laval breaks it up, saying it doesn't need to be like this. He then offers Lavertus to a race on his Speedor track to which he agrees and Laval sets the terms, if Laval and his team wins, Lavertus has to help them rescue the Legend Beasts, but if Lavertus wins, they leave him alone and save the Legend Beasts themselves to which he accepts.

Just before the race starts, Laval tells the others that as they race Lavertus, they will be switching out the driver with one another so they all beat Lavertus together. Rinona then officially starts the race and Laval and Lavertus set off. Laval is able to make it decently far into the race when he switches with Eris, she is able to make it far as well before giving Gorzan the wheel and then Bladvic who drives into the lake from which Cragger takes over and speeds away with Lavertus right behind him, he asks Cragger where he came from and he said they fight as a team and they race as a team, Lavertus asks if that is even allowed to which Rogon is now driving and responds saying why not? Before giving the driver's seat back to Laval and he finishes the race, beating ShadoWind for the first time in a Speedor race. Because Laval won, that meant Lavertus now has to help them rescue the Legend Beasts which he reluctantly accepts. At the Crocodile Swamp, Crunket finds Crooler chained up in the Dungeons and asks what happened, Crooler tells her the Spiders got free and chained her up and took Plovar to which Crunket asks what they need him for.

Plovar is brought before Spinlyn, he is there to freshen up her teeth but he is clearly terrified of her, Spinlyn then shows her cracked tooth to Plovar who yelps but then reluctantly helps, but she threatens him saying he if isn't perfect in his technique then she will eat him. Lavertus then leads the tribes to where the next Legend Beast is and see the Scorpions down below near their cave. They then see the Raven Legend Beast who is carrying Golden CHI in it's mouth to which Razar can't help but gush over. However, Lavertus then points out that the Legend Beast appears to be working for the Scorpions, greatly upsetting Razar. Lavertus then claims this was his own fault and he explains himself; Not too long before adopting the persona of ShadoWind he was just in exile when the Bats, Scorpions and Spiders showed up, he needed to protect himself so he decided to partake in the Speedor races for Golden CHI and because he was in exile, he had to hide his identity leading to his ShadoWind persona, he used the Golden CHI he got from the races to build up his Speedor track and his base and planned to use the rest to build up his hideout even further but then says it's not enough anymore if the Scorpions can use a Legend Beast to breach his walls, Razar then tries saying that the Raven Tribe aren't bad guys just because they like profit. Lavertus says it's not the Beast's fault for as if someone is to be stung by the stringer of a Scorpion they will be able to take control of their mind, which is how they got the Raven Legend Beast to work with them and also why he built armor for the other Legend Beasts.

The tribes then start heading down to the Scorpion Cave where Laval, Lavertus and Razar return while Cragger and the others deal with the Scorpions outside. Laval, Lavertus and Razar run into some Scorpions inside the cave but Lavertus says to take the high road and the three ride on the ceiling avoiding the Scorpions. Outside, Bladvic gets stung by Scutter, mind controlling him. Scolder then orders him to attack his friends but he goes to sleep instead and the mind control wears off. Laval, Lavertus and Razar then head further into the caves when they arrive at their destination and see Scorm for the first time. Scorm says they will honor the Scorpion of the Sky as it dropped them the CHI down into the Gorge of Eternal Depth, but Scrug says Spinlyn it was the Spider in the Sky and Scutter then asks why they don't just use the Golden CHI they have. Scorm whacks the two of them and tells them to just start using the Golden CHI to start sculpting. Razar then realize that that's why they wanted the Golden CHI and Lavertus says that's why he tries to avoid them, but also that they are dangerous. Then, they are discovered by the Scorpions and Scorm orders to attack them. Razar then reveals that his secret weapon is cans of golden paint, which Laval thinks it's ridiculous but Lavertus is fine with it as Ravens love gold. Razar then starts throwing the paint all over the Scorpions, who are about to attack when the Raven Legend Beasts breaks free of the mind control and starts attacking the Scorpions since Ravens love gold.

Laval and Lavertus then hop on their Speedorz and Razar gets on his Legend Beast and start throwing down even more gold paint onto the Scorpions. One by one the Scorpions are defeated leaving Scorm left and Razar tells that greed is much more valuable to Ravens than mind control and the Legend Beast drops Scorm onto the other Scorpions. Laval then tells Lavertus to cover the Golden CHI before the Raven Legend Beast gets it and is about to leave when the Scorpions come from the outside and start attacking. They make their escape as the others are still fighting outside. Laval and Lavertus then make it outside and pour more gold paint onto the rest of the Scorpions, giving them up to the Raven Legend Beast. Razar then finishes them off, and they retreat back into their cave to Scorm. Scorm was furious that his forces had been defeated. Scolder explained that the heroes had been too fast to stop, while Scorm realized that their Speedorz had given them a major advantage. Scorm inspected the wheel of Razar's Speedor and recognized it to be made of Tribe Stone. He ordered the spiders and bats to be gathered so they could return to Mount Cavora and obtain Tribe Stone to make their own Speedorz.

The tribes celebrate their victory over rescuing the Raven Legend Beast, and Cragger notes there are only four more Legend Beasts to find. Laval then says with ShadoWind on their side, there is no way they can lose. Later that night at Mount Cavora, the bats descended upon the mountain and began dropping off the spiders. Outside the Lion Temple, Lagravis and Longtooth watched the enemy activity through a telescope, noticing that the Crawlers were more focused on chipping pieces of the mountain's Tribe Stone. Lagravis immediately understood that the Crawlers were preparing to build Speedorz, given that's what the mineral's only purpose is.

  • When the heroes and Lavertus parked their Speedorz upon arriving at the Scorpion Cave, the order of the parked Speedorz appeared rearranged in a subsequent shot. In this later scene, the Darkor Defender was visible among the parked vehicles, even though Lavertus hadn't used it during their journey to the cave, and how he even mentioned that he had removed parts from the Darkor Defender to create his new Super Speedor.
