Department of Reassignment

History[]

After some point in time after becoming an agent, Jay became the manager of the Department of Reassignment, where they assign people who got lost during the Merge to their respective homes.^[1] However, sometimes they assigned them to the wrong places like the Spectral Lands^[1] or the Land of Lee.^[2][3]

Tonight We Hunt Monsters (flashback)[]

Jay arrived in the Department of Reassignment, where he saw Prentis still working. After telling him to send the refugees to the Land of Lee and dismissing him, Blake Donovan came and started playing Galamorph X-Post. While playing, Jay rejected Blake offers to date Etha and told him that he feels like the perfect person for him already out there. However, Blake tries to change the topic by showing him the "photo" of their first permit inspection, as Jay wins the round.

The Administration[]

Arin stumbles into the Department of Reassignment right as Sub-Agent Prentis sends off a pair of Cloud Monks through the portal to the Spectral Lands, believing that to be their realm of origin. Arin asks what the place he is in is, to which Sub-Agent Prentis tells him that it is the Department of Reassignment, and that it's their job to deal with interstitial space bubbles. After Arin questions his answer, Prentis elaborates and tells him that people and entities got stuck in empty pockets between realms called the "Nothing Space" after The Merge, and that it's the department’s job to send them back to their realms of origin. Arin asks about how they know where they came from, to which Prentis tells him that it’s all best guesses and that they keep records. He then sends a pair of Skulkin to the Cloud Kingdom though the reassignment portal.

After hearing this, Arin asks about his parents, to which the agents turn around and Prentis questions if Arin has authorization to be in the department. After Arin flees, Prentis calls for his manager, Agent Walker. Jay walks through the door and asks Prentis if Arin needed reassignment. After a negative answer, Jay tells Prentis that their department's job is to reassign, and has him finish his sentence about wasting his time. He then returns to playing video games.

Arin and Sora entered the Department of Reassignment to find information on his parents, but because of Jay's disappearance, it left a mass amount of unfinished data and the records were taken offline before they're ambushed by Administration Agents, but use a smoke bomb to make their escape.

Jay, Lloyd, Wyldfyre and Nya went to the Department of Reassignment to go to the Land of Lee. After finding fake stories to tell Lee and Jay assigning them to the place, Roderick Allen and SsssSsss Underwood arrived. Roderick tried to shout down the system, only for Wyldfyre to cause one of the monitors to malfunction, but Roderick knocked her. Thankfully, Nya beated Roderick and helped Wyldfyre. Then they entered the portal. As they left, a fog covered the department while Roderick and Underwood started hearing flute sounds, scaring them.
