Background[]

Once, Spindle was a normal spider lived at the bottom of the Gorge of Eternal Depth. However, after Laval dropped Chi into the gorge, he was transformed into a more humanoid spider with the rest of the Crawlers, making them bigger, stronger and smarter. Then, he and the rest of the Crawlers forced Crominus and Crunket to help them find more Chi, eventually finding themselves in the Outlands, where the Mount Cavora could have be seen. Seeing Mount Cavora, the Crawlers impressed by it and plotted to steal all the Chi. Hearing this, Crominus and Crunket tried to escape, with the former making one of the Spiders trip. However, Spindle and the Crawlers chased after them and captured Crominus.

To stop the Legend Beasts from ruining their plans, Spindle and the Crawlers captured all of them except the Crocodile Legend Beast, with Spindle and his tribe imprisoning the Gorilla and Rhino Legend Beast at their base.

Season 2: Quest for the Legend Beasts[]

A Tangled Web[]

Arriving at the Mount Cavora with the help of the bats, Spindle stole the remaining Chi alongside with the other spiders. Then, they tried to leave together with the bats, only for Lions to blast their vehicles, causing one of the bats to take Spindle with him.

When the Heroes of Chima arrived in the Spider Canyon, they saw a couple of spiders who were guarding the Gorilla and Rhino Legend Beast and were being sure that they are not escaping. To stop the Gorilla Legend Beast from escaping, Spiders were constantly spinning new webs to keep him captured.

Meanwhile at the Mount Cavora, spiders continued to steal Chi from it as Tribes of Chima tried to stop them. While at the Crocodile Swamp, some spiders attacked the Crocodiles, who were recovering the stolen Chi, and captured them. Then, they took the Chi with them, only for ShadoWind to come and stop some of them, while the others escaped with the Chi.

At the Spider Canyon, spiders saw a big fly (not knowing that it's the Rock Flinger disguised) and went to eat it. However, noticing that the Gorilla Legend Beast is destroying their webs, they returned and tried to stop him by spinning new webs, while the others fought against the Eight Heroes of Chima who revealed themselves. Eventually, the Gorilla Legend Beast escaped and joined the heroes to fight back against the spiders. During all of the chaos, couple of spiders caught Eris while the Rhino Legend Beast attacked the other spiders. Then, Rhino Legend Beast and Rogon returned and rescued Eris from the Spiders.

Meanwhile, the Spiders that were stopped by ShadoWind was taken to the Lion Temple.

The Legend Thief[]

At the Crocodile Swamp, Crooler tried to make a deal with Spindle and the other captured Spiders, offering them to control Chima's Chi with her. However, spider released themselves from their chains and took Plovar, who was cleaning Crooler's teeth, with them, while also chaining Crooler.

Later, Spindle and another Spider took Plovar to Spinlyn, who wanted Plovar to clean and fix her broken teeth.

During night, some Spiders and Bats went to the Mount Cavora to steal Tribe Stone.

The Eagle and the Bear[]

Some Spiders helped Scorpions and Bats to make Speedorz by using the Tribe Stone.

Spiders and the Crawlers cornered Laval, with some of them also taking Bladvic and Bear Legend Beast as captive. However, Bladvic scared some of them by using Chi, while the others retreated because of the powerful snooze of the Bear Legend Beast.

Tooth or Consequences[]

Worriz and Cragger saw some Spiders and Crawlers passing by with the Wolf Legend Beast and Crominus, with Spiders occasionally webbing the mouth of Mother Wolf to stop her from howling until a Scorpion stung her again. Then, the Crawlers spotted Worriz and Cragger and took them to the Scorpion Cave with them.

At the Scorpion Cave, Spiders and the Crawlers guarded the area to stop anyone from escaping, while some of them guarded the entrance to stop anyone from entering the caves. However, the Heroes of Chima distracted the guards and got their Chi back from them. Then, they fought off against the Crawlers and eventually entered the caves, where they encountered the rest of the Spiders and Crawlers. Thankfully, the heroes were able to overpower them and find the Wolf Legend Beast, Worriz, Cragger and Crominus. However, the Crawlers used their vehicles against them, overpowering the heroes and causing them to get to cover. Even after Cragger tried to make them fight each other, they continued to attack them. Then, Laval tried to save the Lion Legend Beast as the Crawlers tried to shoot him.

This May Sting a Bit[]

As the fight at the Scorpion Cave continued, the Spiders and Crawlers continued to attack the heroes, trying to overpower them. However, because of Scorm blasting the ceiling with the Korrodor, the cave started to collapse, eventually causing all of the Spiders and Crawlers to get trapped in the Scorpion Cave.

Season 3: Legend of the Fire Chi[]

The Spiders tried to fight back against the Hunters, only for them to freeze them.

Spindle was taken to the trophy room of the Ice Fortress by the Hunters while he was frozen

Spindle was seen as frozen in the trophy room.

A Very Slippery Slope[]

After finding the trophy room with Laval, Cragger and the others, Flinx used his heat to release the imprisoned inhabitants of Chima. However, he accidentally released the Crawlers, including Spindle. Still angry at the heroes for imprisoning them at the Scorpion Caves, the Crawlers attacked them. Thankfully, they were overpowered by Crominus, Crunket and Lagravis. As the heroes attempted to leave the trophy room, the Crawlers tried to follow them, only for Flinx to use his heat again to melt the floor and send them down a hole. Thankfully, by using her webs, Spinlyn was able to save the Crawlers, including Spindle.
