Overview
Grappling hooks are a type of climbing tool. Traditionally, they take the form of a multi-pronged hook that can be fastened to a rope or cable that is then thrown to enable the user to reach higher vantage points. Grappling hooks also come in different forms and sizes and can even be launched through other devices, typically guns and cannons.
Variants
Variants[]
Traditional Grappling hook[]
A traditional grappling hook tied to a cable. They have been used periodically by the Ninja either as handheld tools or launched from their mechs.
Grappling guns[]
The grappling gun is a gun that usually fires a smaller hook and cable, bypassing the need for the user to manually throw the hook themselves. They were used briefly by the Ninja inside of Prime Empire and one model is used by Arin as his personal tool of choice.
Dragon Hooks[]
A variant of grappling hook created by Sora, these tools utilize Elemental Powers to launch their hooks and are sturdy enough to double as weapons for melee combat. Kai's Climber Mech can launch two larger variants of the Dragon Hook.

Sora also transformed Kai's climbing hook into the Climber Mech, which was equipped with two significantly larger grappling hooks. Later, Arin would steal Jordana's Explorer and used the car's frontal grappling hook to ascend a cliff face.
